PHONE NUMBER AVAILABLEEMAIL AVAILABLEOBJECTIVE: A position in the Audio Video field where proven system design, installation, DSP programming and troubleshooting abilities will be used for improving organizational productivity WORK EXPERIENCE:RAPID RESPONSE MONITORING SYSTEMS, Syracuse, NY Office AV Analyst, May 2019 December 2022Researched new technologies for possible installation. Designed, costed and proposed new systems.Maintained existing systems including BSS programming, equipment replacement and set- up as required.Installed new Planar Clarity Matrix G3 video wall in Reception and was certified to install the system.Installed a new Shure MXCW640 wireless conference system in the main conference room(The Apollo 11 room) as the existing system (2014) was a poor design that never worked. Worked with members of the IT department to design a NOC for system monitoring. Consulted with others for the installation of equipment for our newest location in Henderson Nevada. Equipment included new AVPro Edge Video distribution over CAT5 infrastructure. Performed daily building walk through and equipment inspections. Created Power Point Presentations and uploaded them to video walls, and monitors for presentation and Welcome messages.Generated yearly budgets for AV maintenance.During COVID, Approximately May 2020 until April 2022 I maintained my regular AV Analyst duties, but without being asked started to help the onsite IT personnel. I saw the number of trouble tickets go from 40 pre-COVID to almost 200 and knew there were things I could do for desktop support. I started out repairing bad cables in the workstations, which freed up the others to fix the more technical issues. I gradually began to do more technical repairs on the PCs, hard-drives, software updates, fans, and Graphics cards.I found an issue with the PCs that caused them to lock up sometimes, which is not good in a life safety situation. Rapid response answers alarms and dispatches Medical, fire, police and other authorities. My trouble shooting skills helped me find that the GPUs were over heating due to age, lack of preventive maintenance, poor design and low quality GPU fans. I implemented a program to do PM on the 250 PCs in the important Operations area. Most were still under warranty. We pulled the PCs, cleaned them, ran DISM commands to correct corrupt operating systems and bad Hard-Drive sectors. We ran online tests from Dell to torture test the major components and updated all the drives and software as needed. Where only two monitors were used, we removed the Extra GPU to reduce the heat load and provide spares for future use. We replaced over 250 GPU cards and 20 Hard-Drives under warranty and had over 120 used spare GPUs by the time the warranty ran out. The PCs were 5 years old, and I believe they will last another 4-5 years after doing this maintenance.
