We are extremely excited that you are joining our team.This document will explain the required pre-employment steps that need to be completed prior to starting your new job. Please be aware that all of the steps below need to be completed before it is possible to confirm your start date.Your recruiter will be in touch with you often throughout this process; however, if you have any questions, please dont hesitate to contact your recruiter.NOTE: If you do not see some of the emails mentioned below, please check your spam/junk folder.STEP 1: Accept Your OfferThe first step is that you must formally accept your employment offer.The email above contains a blue link to our Candidate Zone. Click the link and log-in. Look for blue rectangle at the top of the page. Review your offer letter; go to bottom of page to formally accept offer.STEP 2: Submit Your Background InformationSoon after you Accept Your Offer (Step 1), you will receive an email from HireRight (EMAIL AVAILABLE) titled Performance Food Group Background Verification Request requesting that you enter your personal information and work history so your background check can be completed.The link within this HireRight email expires after 48 hours of being sent. Please complete this task as soon as possible. Be as detailed as possible as you complete the form and add all work history from the last 7 years. Note: You may request a copy of your background check if you would like to see it.You will receive a confirmation email from HireRight letting you know your background information was received as well as two subsequent emails containing copies of your electronically signed background Consent forms. If HireRight has any questions on the information you submitted, they will reach out to you directly.Sales Positions: An Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be completed as part of the background check.STEP 3: Schedule Your Pre-Employment Drug ScreenOnce you have submitted your background information (Step 2), you will receive a separate email from HireRight (EMAIL AVAILABLE) titled Drug and Health Screening to schedule your pre-employment drug screen and physical.Please schedule your appointment immediately. Be sure to bring this HireRight email with you when you go to your appointment, since the clinic will need the ePassport number included on it to check you in.If you were given a paper copy of your Chain of Custody, please bring it with you to the clinic.STEP 4: Complete Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) QuestionnairePFG participates in the WOTC Program. The WOTC is a Federal tax credit available to employers for hiring individuals from certain target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment. The information you provide in this optional questionnaire is not visible to our Human Resources team (only our 3rd Party Administrator) and in no way affects your application for employment.The WOTC Questionnaire will come from EMAIL AVAILABLE with an email subject line of PFG Follow Up Work Opportunity Tax Credit Questionnaire Please Complete. Click the included link to complete the form.STEP 5: Submit Employment Eligibility Information (I-9) and Acknowledge PFG PoliciesYou will receive an email from EMAIL AVAILABLE titled Performance Food Group System Account Created with a link to complete your I-9 (needed to check your eligibility to work in U.S.) and signoff on PFGs Associate Handbook and policies.After clicking the link, you will immediately be asked to create a new password for the site. Your username will be the email address that you used when you completed your application. This link expires after 36 hours so please complete in a timely fashion.STEP 6: Confirm Start Date (New Hire Orientation)Your local Human Resource representative will reach out to you to schedule your start date, including new hire orientation, once you have completed Step 5.STEP 7: Attend First Day of Work (Orientation Day)We look forward to seeing you and sharing more information with you about our company, our benefits and more. Please remember to bring approved forms of original identification to complete the I-9 employment eligibility check.
