It provides the screens which will be used by the client for accessing the MPAS solutions. The .NET console applications are scheduled through GECS (Global ECS), a job scheduling engine. As the mainframe maintains the large data in VSAM files, similarly the data is maintained in relational database SQL Server 2005 in MPAS. Most of the programs in Mainframe are converted as stored procedures in SQL Server and the JCL steps are converted as Dot net applications. The MPAS applications follow the 3-tier architecture in which the Web services act as an interface for the database through the data access layer. The input files are passed to the application through BizTalk over SOAP adapter or through SSIS package for large files. To provide the business rules for enabling the client to change the hard-coded values at runtime, the business rules are maintained using the ILOG Business Rules.
