Including reading, analyzing depositions, photographic & videos evidence and then applying several decades of means/methods/hands on experience and how the progression of events caused Injuries caused the premature collapse and the death of workers in the area. And as a result, the demise of workers performing tasks in the immediate area. Judgement for the plaintiffs.December 2015 January 2017Retained by families who lost their loved ones in a tragic, completely unavoidable, catastrophe to review all physical evidence. The condition of the 3 story brick and wood structure that that towered over, and immediately adjacent to the 1 story retail structure that was destroyed, and how it was fatally compromised by demolition contractor, subcontractors and others. It was destined to collapse when greed, along with other components, got the better of all parties involved with the defendants Judgement for Plaintiffs.November 2017 January 2019Retained by Demolition Contractor who was retained by the property owner to remediate then demolish a power generating facility on the shores of Lake Michigan. Contracted to review all relevant documents, generated by all parties bound by the contract. Of particular interest, the contract and documents pertaining to the environmental contractor and their schedule, schedule of values, Asbestos Survey used to prepare their proposal. The item used by Demolition Company to prepare its estimate and several hundred other items.Discovered that the Environmental contractor had woefully underbid the project. Underestimated quantities of materials that had to be removed, based on survey and their previous abatement of almost identical structures. And these structures, for the most part, are quite similar. Environmental contractor tried billing the demolition contractors to try and recoup their losses. Not only did environmental contractor miscalculate their costs and quantities they didnt take into account the cost of the negative impact it would have to the contractor and owner by extending the duration of the project and the items that it would impact.
