As counselors we work as a team by communicating and collaborating to provide the best experience for the children. During downtime, we engage the children in reading books, and to promote a love for reading. We set up many activities for the children at the gym, ensuring that they are always engaged and entertained. In the mornings, the children participate in educational activities, such as learning a new letter of the alphabet each day. This includes tracing the letter and coloring an object that begins with that specific letter, helping them with literacy and language development. The safety and well-being of the children are our top priorities, and we constantly supervise and ensure that no child is left unattended. We create fun and creative art activities into the day, such as coloring different parts of a flower or creating a model of the Earth using various materials, fostering creativity and imagination in the children. I have my Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification. I also have both clearances to work with children - PA Child Abuse certification and Criminal Background check. I currently volunteer at Feast of Justice in Philadelphia, PA. Their mission is to help families with food insecurity throughout 10 zip codes. I weigh food, watch the food pantry, and check the people into the computer as they arrive.I was a Treat Team Member at Ritas from 2022 until 2023. My responsibilities there included taking and making the customers orders as well as restocking products as needed and following food safety guidelines.I am looking for a year-round part-time position and would be interested in keeping that job while I attend college locally in the Spring.
