Identified workarounds and solutions within SmartPlant Foundation, which increased overall efficiency for Document Control manhours for Equipment by as much as 50%. Ensured that the team met the 24-hour turnaround time that was required for Document Transmittals. Provided administrative rights for the SmartPlant Foundation and worked together with the UOP Systems Engineer to make changes in the software to make it more user-friendly. By providing more rights to Document Control Team members, this eliminated bottlenecking of work, which the team had to then rely on the Administrator to assist. Reduced the amount of Hard Coding within the program by creating function calls that were already part of the system that UOP was not aware of. Utilized Document Loaders as a Mandatory way to input information into the system, as opposed to one-by-one, as was done previously. Created the ability for the Document Control team to be able to make deletions and necessary changes. Eliminated a work process step for Modular that decreased the amount of time and data storage within the system therefore allowing time to process more transmittals. Ended UOP forced revisioning and created a free form revision field to be followed on all UOP Modular transmittals which allows any revision to show while the system still kept track of all UOP Revision copies. Previously documents that required a forced revision scheme change had to wait for an administrator and each individual file had to be coded for the change. Free form revision allowed for accuracy for drawings, as well as overall efficiency to the projects. Reduced manhours of up to 50% on Modular Projects due to the improvements and changes that I had implemented with the team. Changed the base Document Control manhour estimates for Hydrogen Technologies projects to reflect accurate Document Control hours that were required to execute the project based on client specification. Worked with UOP Modular Project Managers to adjust base cost for Document Control on new projects (example: CCR manhours vs a PENEX). Travelled to Ambitech Asia on behalf of UOP to train and provide UOP work processes to 4 Document Control team members on UOP SmartPlant Foundation. Provided full support to Ambitech Asia team and answered questions at any time to ensure that UOP had 24 hours of Document Control Coverage Took over the role of Engineering Document Release Control and Project Review Control Supervisor. Reduced turnaround time on Schedule A requests from a 2-week turnaround to roughly 48 hours. Converted the work process for the Project Document Release Control to eliminate all hard copies of files and all data to be done electronically. Updated policies and procedures to follow the electronic work process. Restructured network drives for projects to make information easier to identify. Changed UOPs 111 work process to be fully executed out of UOP Engineering (Ambitech) Document Release Control. Created a transition plan for UOPs archived data to be moved from an outside Supplier to be housed within their own ProjectWise System, which enabled UOP to access and search their own information without waiting for an outside supplier to provide it to them. Provided UOP emergency support for Schedule A releases to the client when needed during non-business hours. Created a trusting relationship with UOP that allowed for more growth within my teams services which allowed scope outside of Document Control.Candidate's Name
