Hi,I am Candidate's Name and l'd love to apply for the position you have open for a remote travel agent. I definitely am teachable and work very well alone. I have experience in the travel business, I went to school for it but that was many moons ago. I have life experience in traveling personally but probably more so when I was working. I traveled close to 9 months out of the year.I feel as though I have been blessed in my employment opportunities since the very start. I've been fortunate to have worked with some great minds andI was able to learn from them. Some of the jobs that are in my work history are below. Most involve animals, well actually, they all include animals but I'm ready for a change!Movie Animal Protection (MAP) Aug 2018 - present- Animal Safety Rep-American Humane Association (AHA) Nov 2004- Aug 2018-While working with American Humane and Movie Animal Actors I worked as a safety rep for animals in film and TV. I traveled to wherever the set was then monitored the animals working to ensure they weren't harmed for the sake of entertainment. Then once filming wrapped and no animal was injured I would issue the No Animal was Harmed trailer. Working in the film industry has given me the opportunity to travel all over the world. I spent more time on the road than I did at home. Because of my extensive travel, both professional and personal, I feel I have an "inside-outside" view of many travel related issues. Be it land, air or sea and hotel from 2 star to above 5 stars performance and value. I know what the consumer expects and what adjustments could be made to make a positive experience. I have excellent people skills and a knack for mediation. The film industry taught me a lot of things, patience and flexibility are two. When dealing with strong personalities like the Producer, Director, Animal Wranglers, Stunt Crew and having to go toe to toe with them and giving the final say, as the voice of the animal, then dealing with the aftermath appropriately. After filming is wrapped I write an extremely detailed report of the animal action including if the animal was harmed. I then send the report to the office in LA CA, so the production company can receive the no animal harmed trailer. The reports I write are a legal document that could be upheld in the court.Ive taken courses in report writing from the LA court system as well as a bunch of FEMA courses on animals in emergency situations. Emergency housing, nutrition, medical care, safety from the elementsI worked remotely the entire time I worked with MAP & AHA so I have the ability to stay focused and I have no children therefore fewer distractions.Coastal Veterinary Clinic June 1993- Nov 2004 Vet tech as well as front officeI worked with Dr Parker before he opened the doors to his vet clinic, painting and getting the office in order. I ran the front office and was the head technician. I was involved with every case that came in. I along with care and treatment of the animals I also did data entry, lab work, appointments, assisted in surgeries, and recoveryPalmetto Animal League (PAL) volunteers on the board then ran the medical wing until we could hire the right person to take over. I volunteered at the Hilton Head Humane Association for over 11 yearsI would love to continue working with animals but I am open to other opportunities as well.My objective now is to find employment with a company that can utilize the skills that I have or allow me to learn some new ones. I am motivated and I work well without supervision. I'm a detailed oriented, organized, responsible, dependable, flexible individual.I graduated from a course in Travel and Tourism at The Sawyer School of Travel after I graduated high school. I mention this because I considered becoming a flight attendant or a Travel agent. Back then everything was managed by hand with no computers. Looking everything up in actual books and I know it's changed a lot but the destinations and modes of travel are still basically the same.Thank you for your consideration,SharonReferences availableNo
