PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
ARTECH/GOOGLE - Mountain View, CA * May 2022 to April 2023
SOFTWARE ENGINEER III | Project: Robotics Perception/Calibration
Developed Jupyter notebook with Python to help calibrate extrinsics
for Bi-Arm Kuka workcells. Developed Jupyter notebook with Python for
filtering out images in video based on measuring the blur with FFT
and Laplacian computations from fiducial contours. Refactored the C++
code to run cameras to output these metrics into the logs. Debugged
four-camera feed that was able to stream only two using proprietary
XIMEA camera APIs in C++. Developed pipeline to measure the accuracy
of motion capturing system using Python API calls to store
calibration tool coordinates at various time steps. These coordinates
were then fed into a Jupyter notebook to create graphs. Wrote
documentation for above projects in markdown and LaTeX.
GENENTECH/HARVEY NASH - South San Francisco, CA
May 2021 to March 2022
PYTHON DEVELOPER | Project: Migrate Data Processing Pipelines from
Perl to Python
Designed CICD pipeline with Gitlab Runner and best practices for
team on code reviews and commits. Created tasks in python that run on
Cromwell platform for analyzing genetic sequencing data. Also helped
with developing scripts to process through data for another project
PENNYMAC - Los Angeles, CA * March 2021 to April 2021
Python Developer | Project: Middleware Integrations
Collaborated on a two-person team working on creating middleware
integrations between a variety of software vendors like SalesForce
and PeopleDoc. The integrations were implemented in Python and
deployed on AWS. I worked on two integrations: first between
PeopleDoc and a platform built on top of SalesForce; then between
PeopleDoc and an internal SFTP server. Collaborated to design the
integrations with LucidChart and presented it to the rest of the team
in the department for peer-review on best practices.
EPLUS - Milpitas, CA * September 2019 to January 2021
MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER/PYTHON DEVELOPER
(November 2019 - January 2021)
Project: Electronic Medical Record Machine Learning Appliance
With the Data Science team, I collaborated on developing an AI-in-a-
box appliance that is intended to be sold to smaller medical centers
and rural hospitals. Transferred over the Jupyter notebooks created
by the Data Science team to create python callables that can be used
for tasks in an Airflow pipeline. Stood up an instance of the MIMIC
Database in PostGres with 30 days of records of admissions from an ER
department of a hospital. Created a Flask application connected to
this MIMIC instance to simulate an EMR system like Epic or CERNER in
an actual hospital. Collaborated with business partner NVIDIA to
leverage NeMo and BERT to transfer learn for named entity
recognition. This is used to extract features from the notes text.
MAIN INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTING ENGINEER (September 2019 December 2019)
Project: Deploy AWX for Florida Power and Lighting
Set up two instances of AWX in two separate locations on FPLs
network for automating processes to the other servers on the network.
Uses PostGres as the database to store the data for the instances.
Set up test Ansible playbooks to execute Ansible tasks on a variety
of Windows, Linux, and Unix machines. Created dynamic inventories
with Python scripts using API calls to their Asset Management system.
Created a failover procedure between one instance and the other
instance.
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION * March 2019 to August 2019
PYTHON DEVELOPER | Project: Web Application
Full-Stack Web Application written in Python with Django Framework
Made a full web application that kept count and contact information
of people who would like to participate in an event held by the
organization. Made validated forms and added them to Django views and
templates that then persisted into a PostgreSQL database with Django
models. Leveraged twitter API to give workers the opportunity to
share why they would like to participate in the action to an
anonymous twitter account. Utilized MailGun to send out verification
emails to workers to ensure they were legitimate participants. Used
git and GitHub for making code modifications and peer-review.
Deployed on Amazon Web Services with Elastic Beanstalk and RDS.
Registered a DNS to connect to Amazon Web Services along with
MailGun. Consulted with labor law experts to draft up disclaimers and
legal protections.
APPLE/INFOSYS Sunnyvale, CA & Mountain View, CA
February 2018 to February 2019
