I also have over 1 year clinical and residential experience working in addictions. The addictions experience includes 8 months working at the Indianapolis Comprehensive Treatment Center as a Level I and Level II SUD counselor, and the residential experience includes working 6 months at NewDay Residential Treatment Lodge where I provided addiction and mental health therapies independently but under supervision of a licensed LCSW.The reason for wanting to work in the field of addiction is because I have a long history of illicit substance abuse and a long history of living in recovery. Because of my own personal history, I feel I could best serve my community by helping others who are suffering with the affliction of addiction overcome this battle. This is my passion. Also, because of my experience with substance abuse, I feel this enables me to bring an elevated level of dedication to this role, as well as being able to establish a therapeutic alliance with those whom your organization serves.HIGHLIGHTS OF QUALIFICATIONS Initial interview procedures using structured/unstructured open/closed-ended questions and Motivational Interviewing. Working with patients to build and update individualized treatment plans, establishing goals to help patients with their recovery outcomes, and working closely with patients to help reach a stable dose on their MAT.
