It is very important to follow these instructions as closely as possible. Including accurate and thorough information will allow HireRight to verify information as quickly as possible.1.Background Request- Employment History. This is where you will provide all of your previous employers from the past 7 years.a.Be sure to begin with the most recent employment.b.Be as detailed as possible when entering the employment information. Carefully check to make sure that you are you are correctly spelling the name of the company and entering the correct location information. Any missing or incorrect data will require HireRight or the recruiter to ask you for additional information and it may cause a delay with the hiring process.c.It is important to put a working contact number for the employer so that HireRight can contact the employer for verification. If HireRight is unable to find a working number, they will reach out to you for more information.d.Include your start and end date for the job, using your resume or application to ensure accuracy. If the dates are accurate, it will be easier for HireRight to verify your employment information.e.Please remember if you worked for a temporary service, to list the service as your employer. The company that you were assigned to will not have any records of you as an employee.2.Click Add employment history if you have worked for more than one employer in the last 7 years.3.Click Next once you have entered all of your employment history to go to the next screen.4.Background Request- Employment History Gaps. HireRight requires all applicants to provide the last 7 years of their employment history. If there is a gap detected greater than 90 days in the dates of employment that you provided, HireRight will ask for an explanation.a.If you were not working during these dates, please list a reason why, such as; attending school, or looking for employment.b.If you were working during these dates listed, please provide the employer for that time period. In the event HireRight is unable to verify your employment, due to a company closing or they are not responding, HireRight or a recruiter will request copies of your W-2s, paystubs or employment verification.
