I started working in Shipping and Receiving on the days I wasn't unloading trucks and I would check products that was shipped in and special ordered by costumers and also would get orders ready to be shipped to our costumers and set the deliveries up as well and I would do inventory on products that was shipped in to our store as well as inventory on products we had stored in overstock. I would check products in from delivery trucks and count each item and check the order forms making sure order is correct and signing forms that needed to be signed. I got offered a position as Sales Associate and Cashier so I accepted it and I would help costumers with products they were looking for in store and giving ideas to them for their projects and organizing the shelves so they were nice and neat and making sure areas were safe and clean for costumers and when they were ready to purchase their items I would scan each item and give them their total due and either except payment with cash or credit and give their change or receipt and bag their items for them or call for help if they needed help with loading large orders the bought or with heavy items. I also would talk and get to know my costumers and their projects they were working on not because part of the job but I'm a people person and I enjoy making people happy and helping people because knowing that I've helped or made their day better or easier really made me happy.
