My love of nursing began as an LPN to the present DNP nurse designation. I realize that nursing is much
more than the the designation behind your name, it is all about positive patient outcomes. I am the nurse
that will bring about positive patient outcomes, when working with other professional nurses, and other
medical allies. I received my LPN licensee and realized I needed to continue my nursing career. I received
my BSN and MSN from Indiana Wesleyan University. Later completing my DNP from Chatham University.
I am a problem solver, and work hard to formulate solutions that bring the patient to a better outcome.
My more meaningful days in nursing was when I was asked to teach the the LPN program. There is beauty
in teaching the BSN/MSN/DNP students also, of which I have also enjoyed, but the LPN program begins,
foundationally, to create the life-line for what is really important to patients, it is this program that sets
the pace for believing and achieving positive patient outcomes.
