2023 DEER MANAGEMENTPROGRAM RULES & LIABILITY RELEASE1) A $Street Address .00 non-refundable fee is due at the time of the orientation for all hunters selected for the deer management hunts. 2) The completion (one time only) of an accredited bow hunter education course is required. 3) Hunting is allowed in designated areas only, hunting is allowed only during the dates the hunter is selected for through the random selection process. 4) By signing and submitting the deer hunt application form, hunters agree to lawfully abide by all of the Anoka County deer management program rules and shall release Anoka County from all liability for any injury or claim that may occur during their participation in this special hunt, and related activities taking place during the designated time frame. The hunter certifies that he/she has the ability and desire to join in these activities at their own risk and decision.5) All hunters must attend the pre-hunt orientation session to receive hunting instructions, and other information. The orientation is scheduled for October Street Address . PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE MEETING START TO RECEIVE YOUR PAPERWORK. 6) All hunters must obtain necessary DNR bow-hunting licenses, and abide by all applicable DNR hunting regulations. 7) Participants are encouraged to purchase additional antlerless bonus permits in addition to the regular archery hunting license from the DNR. In accordance with DNR regulations, Zone 701, unlimited additional antlerless deer may be harvested using bonus permits. 8) Hunters are encouraged to harvest antlerless deer, however there are no earn-a-buck rules for these hunts. 9) All hunters must wear their identification back tags at all times during the hunt. 10) Hunters must check in daily at the Anoka County Parks designated facility. Failure to check in or notify the Parks Dept. that you will not be hunting, may void your hunting privileges in future years.11) All hunters must enter and exit the park only at the designated access points, park motorized vehicles in designated parking areas, display windshield ID cards, and drive only on designated roadways.12) Hunting shall be from portable tree stands only. 13) No spike or screw-in tree steps are allowed. No permanent tree stands may by constructed. 14) Tree stands may be placed 24 hours prior to opening morning of the respective hunting season. Tree stands may be left overnight in trees, however Anoka County is not liable for lost or stolen stands. 15) No live trees or vegetation shall be cut or otherwise damaged in the Park. 16) The use of a crossbow is limited to those who are 60 years of age and older or for those who have a medically documented physical disability which precludes them from using traditional archery equipment or a compound bow. Documentation must be provided at or before hunt orientation. 17) No open fires or alcoholic beverages are allowed within the Park boundaries during the hunt hours. 18) No animals other than deer shall be shot.19) No hunting within 200 feet of any private property adjacent to the park. 20) No hunting within 200 feet of any improved trail or roadway within the park. 21) No motorized vehicles shall be used to transport tagged deer from hunt sites to parking areas. 22) You must contact the Administrative Assistant immediately after taking a deer in the park to assist in compiling hunt results. Please identify sex of deer and if they are fawns or adults and record information on the data sheet at the check in station. Attempt to age the deer.
