I started working in the federal dispute resolution process. As a specialist I needed to deliver results with minimal
supervision, identify deficiencies, be a self-starter, adapt to changes, take the lead when needed, and be an excellent
communicator.
From this position I moved to the DHS department. This was to a very fast-paced apartment that was crucial about
being organized in the self-motivator. You had to be able to call out for the judges hearings as well as schedule the
hearings and get the civilian on the line as well as get a representative from the state to also appear on the phone for
the case. When you weren't handling scheduling cases you were creating folders scanning copies and creating
letters to send out to the public to let them know when they're hearing was going to be scheduled. It seemed like the
work was always available and never ending.

Working for the federal government was definitely something new and different. I entered the long block of training,
about 16 weeks. My grades were in the '80s as well as I was very good on the phone training when we preformed

Switchboard Operator-It is a very challenging position I but enjoy the challenge of working, at times, three very
different shifts with very different responsibilities. Of course answering inbound calls is number one and then directing
the calls to the appropriate department or location. On second and third shift we also become an answering service
and take medical consults or call out the on call doctors, physician assistants or technicians depending on the
situation at hand. As needed we page overhead for traumas, alerts, and stat calls. We also keep an eye on the
alarms and when necessary calls or pages are made to attend to the alarm needing to be addressed. A lot of clerical
work for logs, schedules, and location up dates, all done with the utmost confidentiality. Due to the sensitivity of each
task it is required that no information is given unless authorized. There are many different responsibilities and
required skills for each shift. But through aggressive training and exceptional personnel behind the scenes these job
requirements and skills became easier and understandable.

Sales and customer service-I take inbound calls for an on line Cigar Company calls to generated sales for over 5,000
cigars and accessories. Also attend to billing issues and returns when needed. Inspect product before it leaves the
shipping department. I also assist in marketing and meet with others to help generate sales and hit goals for speed of
answer all to hit 100% in customer satisfaction. Some orders are start to finish. For instance, when necessary, I take
the call, print the pull sheets, and pull the order, box, pack and scan. Then give to the shippers to send out the
product promptly. I do whatever is necessary to give that customer complete satisfaction with their order and the
company. I take about 70 calls a day and with that I take about 30-35 orders. A lot of my calls are to clear up issues
with UPS, the delivery company or discussing other highlights of the products we carry. It is a very busy and fulfilling
day, but I tend to gain a variety of knowledge daily from all areas within the company.

Customer Service Representative-Was the last position I held with Frontier. I answered incoming calls daily. During
the calls I assisted to resolve the issue that prompted the call to Frontier and always offered a benefit from a new,
different or updated product. I had monthly sales goals and the majority of the time I exceeded to Premier Standards.
Prior to sales and service I worked the 4pm to Midnight shift. That department handled after hours calls dealing with
phone lines out of service, billing issues, sales and 911 emergency dispatches. This department operated 24 hours
per day. My start date with this department was January 4, 1999. The reason why I have different dates listed above
is because I worked for Commonwealth telephone prior and they bridged my time. I started with them in February
1997. I was working in telemarketing, training for an outside sales position. They soon sold to RCN in April 1997. The
outside sales position was dissolved and I would be in telemarketing. I stayed with it but moved from full time to part
time and then left in May 1998.

** While working at Commonwealth Telephone I took on two part time jobs to help supplement my family income.
One was at Thomas' Market in Shavertown and the other was at McDonald's in Plains. We found that even with a
new home and a son in private school, that the extra income was really not necessary and each time I tried a part
time position, it just became overwhelming and took too much time from my family.
