A summary of my past operational and strategic duties currently are listed below:Previously lead a direct reporting team of three (3) Divisional Facility Directors and one (1) Corporate Director of ConstructionEach Divisional Director had approximately 50 facilities of which they consult with the facility maintenance department for operational guidance, manage projects for capital expenses, and oversees life safety compliance and survey preparedness. They also monitor monthly environmental and operational performance to maintain the facilities.The Corporate Director of Construction oversees corporate renovation and construction projects. This position also researches legal requirements related to building permits, working with engineers to ensure that plans are developed and approved by proper authorities, working with facility landlords and our legal department for all construction related projects. This position is no longer active.I work with senior management to develop the capital budget annually and manage to maintain financial stability throughout the year.Currently I assist the Director of Safety to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards, are adhere to in all facilities. Also ensure all EPA standards are maintained and researched as required.Previously managed the installation of 77 generators at Florida facilities to comply with required legislation to maintain temperatures within facilities.I lead the development of the corporate emergency operations plan template for all facilities to implement to satisfy local, state, and federal compliance. Coordinate and lead emergency preparation call as needed for hurricane preparedness. W O R K E X P R E R I E N C E  c o n t.Oversee restoration processes for facilities damaged, evacuated, and re-constructed from hurricane damages.Continuously working with clinical, marketing, and operations departments to implement new programs to further enhance business growth.Develop corporate, divisional, or regional contracts for facility and corporate issues to provide financial stability for the corporationCurrently working with clinical, operations, and senior management to continue JCAHO accreditation of selected Florida facilities. July 1998  June 2003I served as Corporate Director of Safety for Parkland Health & Hospital in Dallas, Texas. In this position I worked with senior management to ensure local, state, and federal requirements, including JCHAO standards were satisfied for accreditation. I also developed, along with the City of Dallas Fire & Police, one of the first chemical or biological de-contamination programs for a mass causality events in the country. I was trained at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security program for Community Incident Command. January 1996  June 1998Hired has Corporate Director of Safety at Rex Healthcare System in Raleigh, NC. I was promoted to Director of Environmental Services where I managed a department of 104 employees with an annual budget of $5.6 million. The department was responsible for maintaining approximately 1 million square feet of physical plant, including a hospital, long term care facility, day care center, two office buildings, and two health clubs. June 1988  December 1995I served as Corporate Director of Safety for Orlando Regional Healthcare System. I directed all local, state, and federal requirements to be addressed through policy, procedures, and quality performance for 6 hospitals in 3 counties of central Florida. August 1979  June 1988After college I began my career as a Director of Environmental Services overseeing housekeeping and laundry departments in two hospital systems in NC and VA. I also served as Corporate Trainer for new managers joining the company. During this time I also had a real estate license in VA.E D U C A T I O NAppalachian State University Graduated August 1978 Boone, NCObtained by Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, My major concentration of study was Health Care Management. Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) - inactive Certification in 1998 Various courses for regulatory compliance for life safety, OSHA compliance, EPA standards, building maintenance, and employee management.
