Currently looking for work in both contract and direct to hire positions that allow me to expand my technical knowledge. The ideal position would be one that builds upon my skills in both Mechanical and Electrical hardware design, testing, and manufacturing.TECHNICAL STRENGTHSComputer Languages Embedded C, MATLAB, Python, Linux, G code, Object Orientated Programming Software Skills HTML, LTspice, Altium, JIRA, Solidworks, Ansys, Fusion 360, Arduino IDE, Hardware Skills Microsoldering, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, STM32 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEElectronics Engineer 2023 - 2024Superpedestrian Professional Engineer Designed and developed PCBAs: Utilized Altium for circuit design and electrical schematic creation/capture. This was done as part of the prototyping process for a new GPS/data tracking hardware package. Organized and collected results from PCB testing: Applied MATLAB to display and plot data points, summarized results in testing reports for progress tracking. Exercised LTspice circuit simulation and standard electrical diagnostic tools for PCB development and troubleshooting: For analyzing and solving issues that came up in the field that specifically related to the hardware and PCBs of the E-scooters. Integrated PCBAs with Electric Vehicles following EMC and Electrical Safety Certification processes: In order to obtain certifications to operate Electrical Vehicles in certain countries and markets, different Electrical standards had to be implemented. Completed PCBA rework and repair: Applied micro-soldering skills learned from IPC Class 2 certification training. In the development of the prototype PCB, fixes and repairs where done immediately to avoid further delays in the testing process. Diagnosed and tested Li-ion batteries for EVs that showed a false over-voltage reading. Determined that the connector between the BMS and the battery cells was prone to failure at connection port due to repeated vibrations over long-term use. To solve this, connectors were replaced with a direct connection to the BMS. Commissioning Engineer 2022 - 2023Hitachi Rail STS Contractor Performed installation of PTC equipment on passenger trains, including locomotive radio and ADU display. New FRA regulations required Passenger trains to ugrade to a PTC saftey system. Equipped wayside radio stations with fiber optic connections to the dispatch server center. To increase efficency and accuracy of train locations to the MBTA dispatch center. Post installation: tested locomotive radio and ADU display for both signal strength and verification of correct message data along multiple commuter rail lines. Utilized Terra Term and TFTP32 to update and edit PTC control files both locally and remotely on multiple locomotives and wayside radio stations. To determine if the radio systems on both the train and the wayside radios could recieve file updates remotely without error.Construction Team Leader 2021 - 2022NCCC AmeriCorps Administered teams of 8-12 corps members: Was the Team Leader for multiple Habitat for Humanity Construction projects. Govern Team in the assemble of emergency shelters: During disaster deployments to New Orleans the team collaborated with the Red Cross to set up emergency shelters. Planned, Coordinated, and Executed weekly schedules and tasks for each Corp Member to preform. Done to keep the morale high and everyone occupied and contributing to not just the project but also the working and living enviorment we all shared at the time.EDUCATIONVisible Edge InstituteCurrently EnrolledRobotics and Internet of Things(IOT)Robotics in Manufacturing Fundamentals Certification (RMF) Python Certified Entry Level (PCEP)IOT and Embedded systems specializationUniversity of Colorado, BoulderGraduation 2021Department of Engineering and Applied SciencesGraduate of Bachelor of Science in Engineering Plus with an emphasis in Aerospace Minors in Engineering Management & Technology, Arts, and Media Electrical Engineer 2020 - 2021SIMBA Senior Projects Communicated with fellow Engineering students along with the Ski patrol team at Copper Mountain to fully verify the customer requirements for the project. Designed power system for sensor equipment in extreme conditions: SIMBA is a snow depth detector project in winter conditions on mountains in order to determine Avalanche risks sought by Ski patrol teams. Utilized cold weather batteries combined with voltage regulators to power sensing equipment. To stand up to freezing mountain winter conditions and to operate the electrical equipment for long periods of time. Fabricated and soldered voltage regulators to disperse needed voltage and current throughout each of the sensing equip- ment subsystems. To keep all electrical systems powered from the same DC battery pack for ease of use. Mechanisms Lead 2017- 2019AIAA Design Build Fly Lead a team of undergraduates in the Mechanical design of the project: Used Solidworks to design and model components of the RC aircraft. Utilized said model to preform FEM analysis to discover structural weak points on the design. Managed team in developing a PCB micro-controller: Employed EAGLE to first design then print circuit for iterating a signal from a receiver. In order to have multiple functions on the RC plane operate with just one frequency channel from the RC controller. Conducted team in manufacturing the plane: Made use of CNC machine, 3D printers, laser cutters, and machining equipment to fabricate and then assemble parts of the plane.
