WORK EXPERIENCE Commercial debt collection account executive Richard James and Associates December 2020-August 2024 Vancouver Washington RJA is a corporate debt collection agency based in Vancouver Washington. As a sales rep I made cold calls to develop suspects into prospects into customers and clients. Thousands of phone calls resulting in the occasional sale, the basis of which supported the random collection.The operational sales frame is fraught with adversity, due to the nature of the initial and ongoing contact of the cold call and the pre-supposition of applicable status of the suspect/prospect, further compounded by the general capitulation to silo thinking, which is rife in the modern American corporate structure.* Made all the phone calls to obtain the random collection. The automobile work phase of my life started in 1973 through 1980, then from 1987 through 2020 in service, parts, body shop management and service writing at the dealer level, shipping and receiving both at rail yard, haul-a-way yard and factory origination with cars and trucks as a rail yard ramp manager and safety director. 1980-1987 sold real estate and oil and gas limited partnerships and life insurance. EDUCATIONGraduated high school 1976.Graduated General Motors Institute Chevrolet Service Management College 1977. Graduated Porsche Cars North America, Audi, VW service management schools. Also different training with PCNA, Audi, VW, Chrysler, GM and Ford. 2SEGREGATED COLLECTIONS BENEFITSANDCONTRACT COLLECTION BENEFITSMost AR jobs are a mix of clerical support and collections work/duties. Even though I could handle these various chores I want to present to you a better, cost-saving option.Consider hiring me to perform and oversee your internal and 3rd party external collections work in a remote setting, either as an employee or a subcontractor. These scenarios of getting me involved present the following benefits:#1) Free up your support staff, leaving them anxiety-free and happy. BECAUSECorporate debt collection is one of the hardest and most stressful jobs there is. Stressed out and anxiety ridden employees do not think straight and make bad decisions, thus hindering the results that you count on them for.#2) Take the hardest part of the AR functionTHE ACTUAL COLLECTIONS WORK(where few, if any are trained to do it anyway) and remove it away from your employees to-do list(s).THE BENEFITS HEREReduce sick time and employee turnover.Your support staff will be happy, will not get sick as often and they will not quit their jobs out of frustration, anger and sadness when they no longer have to deal with this subject of talking to and dealing with rascals, rapscallions, neer-do-wells and the occasional scoundrel.#3) Poor results from internal collections work.Your staff is not trained/is poorly trained/does not have the stomach to do what needs to be done.Internal processes that add to your AR issues will remain unchanged without me, hence I cannot help to reduce or eliminate existing AR challenges. BECAUSE3You will get better results from a professional.Insights from outside the organization have the distinct opportunity to become game-changers.Put yourselves in a position to squeeze some nickels and make some buffalos scream!#4) The onboarding and managing of a new employee takes time and money. Put yourselves in a superior position with a ready-to-work new hire like me. THE BENEFIT HERESegregating the collections work from the rest of the AR functions and having me do it means you do not have to invest your company resources in training another employee, you simply give me the aging report and relevant files and I do the rest. In juxtaposition, subcontracting means you do not have to invest your company resources in another employee, you simply collect the results.#5) Your crew can handle the support and secretarial work already. What you need help with is the actual collections.THE BENEFIT HEREWhen you segregate your collections work from A-Z, either internally or externally, you are using your support staff and resources for other things. Corporate collections work is the most unpleasant work to be done and getting it out of the to-do list from your internal functions will bring a tremendous sense of relief within your organization.
