EMAIL AVAILABLEPHONE NUMBER AVAILABLEEnjoyed teaching all of my life. As a student, my teachers would let me help with struggling students so long as I didn't simply tell them the answer. This led me to a Degree in Business-Personnel Management in 1986, ( minored in Marketing and Communication), and eventually ran and managed companies in the field of Flooring and Maintenance. Selling is a form of teaching; and advocating for the rights and needs of the disabled, is a passion of mine. It's important to me that I find a job where my Education Certifications, in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education Cross Cat. Mild to Moderate, are required or helpful in the proper performance of service to others. Currently working on a multi-activity lesson plan for PreK to 1st grade that could be packaged and marketed or sold outright.Authorized to work in the US for any employer.TeacherGreat Circle - Marshall, MOOctober 2016 to September 2020As a teacher of Special Education for Great Circle, was responsible for the educational requirements of my students as outlined by Missouri Common Core Standards. Am also responsible for meeting the guidelines of the Marshall, MO public School District and the Model of Care for students at Great Circle. For almost 2 years, was the Master of Ceremonies on "Funday Fridays" which was a team building, spirit-lifting, weekly event in the morning, where we recognized kid's achievements, and the kids would perform. As an entertainer, being in front of a large group is very natural to me, just like teaching. My most significant accomplishments in teaching come from the large number of clients whom I was able to square away into productive students who were regulated and able to either re-enter regular classrooms or go home. Am comfortable with the IEP process, and appreciate the goal writing and recording process as well as the accommodations and modification pages as the "how-to" of instruction for our students. My classrooms often had children from 8 to 18 with multiple learning levels. Diversified and scaffolded lesson plans are handy in any classroom and with all students and most subject matters. Small Business OwnerBreshears Family Carpet aka Your Mama's Carpet Cleaner - Kansas City, MO January 2011 to December 2014My low moisture Steam Extraction mobile carpet cleaning plant, would have been more successful if my Yellow Pages ad would have printed my correct phone number. It didn't and I lost a year or more of business building in the middle of my most productive years. I cleaned and installed carpet for over 10 years in my business but failed to re-invest in my capital equipment in a timely manner. By the time my van was depreciated fully, I was unable to re-invest and was forced to close the business. While cleaning and installing carpet was something I was good at, it was the people I was serving and helping that made the job worth doing. Public service is my calling, and carpet cleaning was no longer an option. DriverJackson Brothers of the South - Sedalia, MOOctober 2011 to December 2012ResponsibilitiesStart before 6 a.m. work till done. No scheduled breaks. Drive large duel wheeled delivery box truck to large employer lunchrooms and stock vending machines. I collected money, serviced machines mechanically, stocked machines, rotated inventory, dealt with refunds and fielded requests for items. I drove over 1 1/2 years, no accidents, no tickets, over 1,000 miles a week. Performed routine maintenance on the truck, ordered over 100 different items for vending weekly. Kept track of what was selling and what was not, adjusted display and inventory to compensate. AccomplishmentsDuring my time 16 months, I missed a total of 3 days due to illness. I received bonuses for sales that exceeded expectations on 6 of my last 8 paychecks including 3 weeks in a row before my last day. Route was closing due to Waterloo, and Tracker Boats changing vending company, which was a corporate decision based on money not service. My impact at the job was consistency. Other drivers wouldn't drive if it was icy, or snowing. Other drivers would be sick too often or miss vital parts of their routes. I worked with and trained a partner who took over the remaining route and ran it for well over a year until this route was ended.Inventory control, sales forecasting, stock rotation, merchandising, driving, maintenance of vehicle, maintenance of vending machines, collection of revenue, on time arrival, security of building and assets. There was no loss of inventory during my tenure. Customer service with employees at the venues we served was exceptional, refunding money with a smile, and we gave away items that we couldn't vend yet were safe to eat to appreciative customers and employees created a positive opinion of company .
