(currently KPMG) where he was Principal-in-Charge of the Human Resources Consulting Practice for the Southwest, regional actuarial principal for the southwestern United States, and a member of that firm's Actuarial Practice Committee.Mr. Bass was also a Senior Vice President with a large mid-western financial organization and prior to that, Vice President and Actuary with a regional consulting firm.Currently, Mr. Bass spends most of his time working with attorneys as an expert witness providing damage testimony in litigation support matters. The types of cases Mr. Bass undertakes are:Economic Losses arising from personal injuries, wrongful deaths, wrongful discharge, medical malpractice, discrimination issues, breach of contract, etc.;Divorce Settlements for determining the value of compensation and benefits for property settlements in marital dissolution cases;Calculations of Reserves for determining appropriate reserve levels for certain contingent events using multiple approaches; andOther Support Services with respect to mergers and acquisitions, ERISA cases dealing with other pension matters, insurance company contracts, structured settlements, income tax implications, etc.Mr. Bass received a Bachelors degree in Mathematics in 1968 from Drew University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary under the provisions of ERISA. He has spoken before the Society of Actuaries, the American Academy of Actuaries, the Risk & Insurance Management Society, Texas Society of CPA's and other organizations.
