Cover Letter I am a highly motivated, hard-working individual. I am organized and know how to prioritize. I believe in patient-centered care and meeting them where they are at while attempting to help them get to a stable place as they see it. This is done by motivational interviewing and active listening. I have been clean and sober since October 01, 2018. I am a survivor of human trafficking, domestic violence, and I productively live with several mental health disorders. With all that I have survived, I have graduated college Magna Cum Laude and found a way to help those where I was not too long ago. I know how to find resources and get questions answered in a timely and effective manner. As a CPRS, I was doing psychosocials on patients, motivational interviewing, and getting them to their next level of care. I have over 5,000 hours(over 3 years) in the mental health field doing everything from the work of a psychiatric technician to the social worker. I completed my Bachelor's in June 2024. I am now in the process of applying to take my exam as a Substance Abuse Counselor as I am already a CSAC-A and I also now am qualified for my QMHP (which is in the process). My eventual goal is to be the CEO or Program Manager of a Mental Health/Recovery Facility. My passion is helping patients from Day 1 until they leave and I can help them achieve their goals.
Skills
My biggest skill is working with people. I have compassion and empathy, yet I also have boundaries and professionalism. I have lived experience that gives me an insight into the workings of addiction and mental health disorders and criminology. I am organized. I am open-minded and ready for change. I have many assets as a leader and trainer that will take a program to the next level.
