Work Experience
CACI - Software Engineering Intern May 6th, 2024 - August 16th, 2024
- Lead developer for FTM Calibration Automation and the Image Processing of Ferrule Datasets: Python
based software applications which supported the needs of the Manufacturing Engineering team at CACI.
- Provided support in the development of Space Container: A SQL based test systems database.
Ocean Insight - Calibration Technician I June 2nd, 2021 - October 28th, 2023
- Responsible for automating the irradiance calibration process of spectrometers by developing a Python
based software application.
- Responsible for radiometric calibration of spectrometers; collecting and analyzing data to provide
calibration coefficients that allow customers to use spectrometers for radiance or irradiance measurements.
Projects
FTM Calibration Automation - Lead Developer, CACI
- A Python based user friendly GUI which facilitates communications between software and hardware to
collect calibration data for the Fast Tracking Motion (FTM) Hall Sensors.
- Reduced the total calibration time of FTM Hall Sensors from 1.5 hours to under 10 minutes.
Image Processing of Ferrule Datasets - Lead Developer, CACI
- Development of a Python based application which used OpenCV computer vision to analyze images of
optical fibers and return whether the images passed or failed based on the amount of defects on the image.
- Successfully returned valuable information on defects such as the size, location, color, and brightness of
each defect which helped to improve the overall yield of outgoing products.
Calibration Lab Automation - Lead Developer, Ocean Insight January 2023 - August 2023
- Development of a Python based application which automated the calibration process by communicating
between Ocean Insight spectrometers and lab hardware to collect and analyze data on an Excel spreadsheet.
Skills
- Software experience in the following: C and C#, Python, Java, SQL, Godot and GDScript.
- Proven experience in UI and Data Management as demonstrated by the FTM and Calibration Lab
Automation GUI s, and the design of an SQL test systems database.
- Experience using Git, GitHub, and GitLab repositories.
- Experience working with image processing tools in OpenCV.
Extracurriculars
- Sunsight Games Independent Gaming Studio: Project Manager and Developer for Sunsight games - an
independent gaming startup led by UCF students and Alumni passionate about game design.
- GameDev Knights: An active member of UCF s game development club - a space for students passionate
about game development to network, make friends, and make games.
