In addition to core systems, auxiliary systems such as lube oil system, turning gear system, gland steam system, LP Exhaust hood system, Generator stator cooling system, reheater drain system, synchronizing system were also upgraded. Existing relay-based logics replaced with Mark VIe system. Generated change papers (Legacy EWD markups) based on the TRU / TRM related core and auxiliary signals being transferred to Mark VIe. As part of the design change package, related documents like panel arrangement drawings, fuse datasheets, legacy grounding drawings, location drawings, CBDs etc were marked. Updates were initiated for printouts and Annunciation windows and provided inputs to the DCC group. Did Voltage drop calculations for determining cable sizes so that voltage drop is less than 3% (OESC-2015), cable types, insulation for selecting correct cables. Reviewed the cable routes keeping voltage separation in mind. Worked with the customer (BP team) to determine location of Mark VIe cabinets and junction boxes. Modifications done in the existing panels including bill of materials creation. Online wiring modification planned for signals tapped from control distribution frame (CDF). Planned updates to MCC buckets for Mark VIe interfaces. Coordination with the group executing parallel Smart MCC upgrade project.
