Our fast-paced, active rolesreceive trucks full of orders, thenprepare them for delivery. Youll loadconveyor belts, and transport and stagedeliveries to be picked up by drivers.You may even be part of the team thatworks with larger items, such as largescreen TVs, furniture, and appliances,and be trained on how to usetechnology to handle these heavy bulkitems.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSome of your duties may include:Receive and prepareinventory for deliveryUse technology likesmartphones and handhelddevices to sort, scan, andprepare ordersBuild, wrap, sort, andtransport pallets andpackagesYoull also need to be able to:Lift up to 49 poundsReceive truck deliveriesView prompts on screensand follow direction forsome tasksStand, walk, push, pull,squat, bend, and reachduring shiftsUse carts, dollies, handtrucks, and other gear tomove items aroundGo up and down stairs(where applicable)Work at a height of up to 40feet on a mezzanine (whereapplicable)What its like at an AmazonDelivery StationSafety. Even withclimate controls,temperatures can varybetween 60 F and 90 F insome parts of thewarehouse; on hot days,temperatures can be over90 F in the truck yard orinside trailers.Noise level. It can get noisyat times. We provide hearingprotection if you need it.Dress code. Relaxed, with afew rules to follow forsafety. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required andprotective safety footwearare required in selectbusiness units.
