Responsible for the overall management and coordination for DRCs activities within the Region.Responsible for effective Personnel and Assets Management for the smooth running of the Regional Base (AFAR). Executing the approved program of work in the region as per approved annual budget. Contribute to technical design and programming through coordination with Living Water International Technical Units.Country Operations Manager, Merlin Liberia (October 2010 - July 2011)Provided strategic advice in the development and implementation of the country programming focused on providing emergency healthcare to communities and health institutions affected by previous war and epidemics. The program included, communicable disease control, maternal and child health services, emergency preparedness, HIV/TB control, AIDS awareness, and treatment and training for malaria, tuberculosis, etc. Ensured compliance with Merlin policies, local laws, and donor requirements (EU, ECHO, IRISHAID, UNICEF, WFP, DFID). Guided the operationalization of policy guidelines and actively engaged in problem solving through informed and innovative solutions. Coordinated activities between five local activity sites in Liberia and the country office in Monrovia. Led a 21-member team to ensure quality implementation of projects with an emphasis on maintaining World Vision and donor accountability standards, staffing, resources, and policies. Proactively addressed challenges and continuously improved service delivery, in accordance with project timelines and a $5 million budget. Participated in the design of the Area Rehabilitation Program along with new projects. Initiated and built relationships with other key sectors in the organization for the development of multi-sectoral projects and project plans. Approved project expenditures and contracts according to the Levels of Authority Manual and evaluated budgets and actual expenditures with the Finance team and the Operations Director.
