Candidate's Name
Working as a teacher and coach for the last ten years has motivated me to be the type of person who strive to make a difference in the lives of students. For example, my former athletes and their parents have told me that I am a great coach. Also, both my math inclusion classrooms last year exceeded their goal of 90% passing on the end of grade assessment. If I had this type of impact on students and parents as a teacher and coach. I can imagine the impact that I can have as a leader in education. Having great mentors, educating myself, and great teaching experiences has made me a better person. Please allow me to use these great experiences to inspire students to do their best as well.My philosophyTransformational leaders have to be able to inspire people to become committed followers. To do this a leader must understand the importance of integrity and that people are only inspired to ldo great things by people they trust. Ive learned this in my coaching positions working with students, parents, and teachers. Its important that you earn their trust through a strong moral character, fidelity and hard work. People have to see these values in you before they buy in and accept your vision. To obtain high level of achievement people have to be willing to go over and beyond the call of duty and people only do this at high levels for people they trust. What type of leader am I?As a leader, I possess a high level of moral stewardship to carry out the mission of an organization. Ive been given opportunities to teach health and physical education and special education when I had very little to no experience and I achieved both because I understood stewardship. Whereas, I see education as a moral obligation and an opportunity to serve and help improve people lives.Candidate's Name PHONE NUMBER AVAILABLEPurpose: Work collaboratively with school leaders to create a culture of excellence.CertificationsEducation Preparation for Specialist Education Leadership (Complete)Georgia Ethics for Educational Leadership Exit Course (Passed)GACE Test for Educational Leadership (Passed)T5 certificate in Special Education InclusionT5 certificate in Health and Physical EducationLeadershipWhile attending Armstrong Atlantic State University I chaired events such as homecoming and celebrate AASU day where I received an award for best campus activities board leader. Also, I was one of the seven undergraduates at AASU to work with administration and the Savannah Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. to charter an undergraduate chapter on the campus of AASU.Won two city championships as a middle school basketball and football coach in Chatham County.Work with District leaders to create health and physical education student learning objective assessments for all schools in the Chatham County School District.EducationEd.S (Education Leadership Specialist) Degree Georgia Southern UniversityAttended: August 2016- May 2018Graduated: May 5, 2018M.H.S (Masters of Health Science Degree) University of Central FloridaAttended: 2000-2004Graduated: May 1, 2004B.S(Bachelors of Science in Health Science) Armstrong Atlantic State University Attended: 1994-1999Graduated: December 04, 1999Work Experience1.
