PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Research Assistant, NC State University, NC, USA Aug 2019- May 2024
Designed, developed and facilitated translation of orthopaedic medical implants and medical devices using
bioprinting processes in a cGMP-compliant environment.
Developed a perfusion-based bioreactor to enhance cellular bioactivity and maturation of meniscus tissue,
    incorporating real-time process monitoring.
Developed molecular and biochemical (viability, metabolic, protein quantification) assays to characterize
mammalian cell functioning and ECM production on knee meniscus and cartilage scaffolds.
Collaborated with orthopedic surgeons and veterinarians for preclinical studies on small and large animal
    models following FDA regulations.
Cultured and maintained mammalian cell lines (stem cells, chondrocytes, fibroblasts) using aseptic
    techniques in a BSL-2 lab.

Additive Manufacturing Intern, Renishaw Inc., IL, USA July 2018- Sept 2018
Designed experiments (DOE) for optimizing parameters for custom metal powders on Renishaw s 400 and
500 series powder bed printers using Minitab.
Contributed to Lean Manufacturing initiatives by optimizing build layouts, thereby minimizing cycle time
   and material wastage.
Operated AM machines independently, performed routine maintenance of equipment and conducted build
   failure root cause analysis.
Curated SOPs for operation and maintenance of AM equipment, build removal and material handling tasks.
Research Intern, Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Bangalore, India Jan 2017- June 2017
Optimized machine parameters (laser power, scan speed, hatch pattern) for processing of SS316L powder
on EOSINT M250 DMLS machine for printing surgical equipment and implants
Designed and performed experiments independently to eliminate balling and other related defects and
achieved 99.5% part density. Analyzed porosity, microhardness and microstructure of manufactured parts.
