Shelf reading, reshelving, helping patrons with finding items, checking in and out of books, retrieving requests/holds for teachers and students, and building a positive, supportive rapport with people. These actions are a part of my daily life. Although the school district uses the Destiny system, I am quick at picking up new information and am positive I could be supporting patrons in no time.I have recently completed my Bachelor of Arts Educational Studies in Elementary Education, and have been a Kindergarten Teacher or in education for 30 years. I know the value of reading and have a passion for sharing it. My district could possibly be supporting me for a Masters in Library Science soon, and I would love to gain more experience and knowledge from professional Librarians.My school district has adopted a four day school week, with a partial day on Friday, unless the previous Monday was a holiday.
