Print PDF files for the mentioned clinics, upload each encounter for remote coding. Assign encounters to the appropriate remote coders. Once encounters are coded input medical codes provided by the medical coders into CHCS and or CCE. For all remote work I receive OPV, ER, IPS (rounds), and IP encounters that are uploaded by the scan techs on site, once uploaded the encounters are indexed, manually type all patient information, DOS, MEPRS code for corresponding clinics. Assign encounters to the appropriate remote coder, track coding and scan tech production totals to ensure the metrics corresponds with each scan techs and remote coders total hours submitted. Create two different EXCEL spreadsheets for the Program Manager to show the sites production rate as well as each individual's production rate for remote services in order for invoicing to be submitted at the beginning of each month for each site using remote coding services. Stay in touch with scan techs and remote coders on a daily basis to assist them with any request they may have, if the request received from the remote coders or scan techs is something I am not able to help with I direct them to who can help. Example if a coder needs an encounter back they will email, text, or call me and I return the encounter that was requested back to them. If a scan tech comes across an encounter that has an invalid code, the scan tech will email, text, or call me to let me know who the coder is and what code is invalid. I then pull the encounter back notify the coder, tell them which encounter and code needs to be corrected, the encounter is then corrected, sent back to the scan tech on site and data entry is completed. I currently work with GlobalCode (a government approved and secure coding tool), if encounters are not able to be uploaded through GlobalCode the site will send me encounters through ARMDEC safe site. If there is a reason for long delays that may affect production rates I work closely with the Program Manager and the site to problem solve any of the bottle necks in order to up the production rate as needed.
