There will be over 200 facilities and structures built from the ground up for the Marines in Okinawa Japan to transition over the course of the next seven years. My position identifies the U.S. Marine Corps Tables of Organization and Equipment (T/O&E) requirements and mission statements in the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS) and coordinate with manpower staff to de-conflict and validate manning and associate equipment inventory documents. This MILCON project interacts with agencies throughout Headquarters, United States Marine Corps Installation & Logistics (I&L), Logistics Command (LOGCOM), Plans, Policies and Operations (PP&O), Deputy Commandant for Information (DC I) and Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4). Systems Integration Analyst Sr. SAIC, MCB, HI / 9 Mar 2015 to 2 Jan 2019 Type of Position: Full Time Weekly Hours Worked: 40 hours I was the sole Field Service Technician (FST) supporting the Marines of Marine Corps Base Hawaii for the maintenance and sustainment and training of 143 Blue Force Tracking platforms. These systems provided the combatant commander with a capability of Positioning, Location and Information (PLI) for their maneuver elements on the battlefield. Blue Force Tracker is an Army acquisition program and was highly successful in theater. The Marine Corps had sufficient time to test it on the battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan before purchasing the technology in 2011. In the four year I was the FST, we aggressively upgraded the vehicles and Tactical Operation Kits (TOC). The Marine Corps rapidly progressed from the non-secure Legacy version (Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below version (FBCB2) to the Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) solution that provided encryption for the platforms data and became a secure, classified system with the ability to pass information up to the SECRET level. In 2017, the program upgraded to the Joint Battle Command - Platform(JBC-P) vehicle system and Tactical Operation Center (TOC) kits for Third Marine Regiment, Marine Aircraft Group 24 and Combat Logistics Battalion 3. In that time, I created a tracking spreadsheet for all systems I was responsible for and later implemented for all other FSTs throughout the Marine Corps bases and installation to utilize and report to the headquarters for the project in Charleston, South Carolina. The JBC-P platform is a Linux Operating System (OS) and as an FST, I was able to I update and reimage hard drives on the DF-5 duplicator, loaded address books into each system, loaded map datum, provisioned satellite transceivers, installed and de-installed systems and components, cables, fuses, conducted function tests, troubleshot faults and identifying platforms for replacement for the customer. I was responsible for the replacement of 60 legacy vehicle systems; made liaison with the units and Marine Corps Systems Command(MARCORSYSCOM), prepared equipment for installation, conducting the installation and turned the vehicles back to the customer. I instructed numerous Marines in the loading of cryptographic keys from the Simple Key Loader (SKL) into the KGV-72 Platform Encryption Device (PED) ensuring the platform communicates with other systems on the network. I also prepared satellite transceivers commissioning and requested provisioning through the Mission Command Support Center. I provided over-the-shoulder training for over 100 Marines on all BFT system operation, maintenance and sustainment. All HMMWV, ABV, MTVR and LVSR vehicles that possessed these systems were kept up-to-date, the documentation and reports were provided to the customer and headquarters capturing accurate accountability and maintenance on all systems in the inventory.06XX Military Occupational Field Specialist, C4, HQMC, Pentagon, Washington D.C. / 27 Mar 2011 to 28 Feb 2015 Type of Position: Full Time Weekly Hours Worked: 60 hours Served as the senior enlisted advisor for communications in the Occupational Field Section, Strategic Plans Division, C4, Headquarters, United States Marine Corps.
