I demonstrated proficiency in Java programming, driving the design and implementation of intricate algorithms that facilitated precise and efficient movements for the robot during the "Charged Up" challenge. I implemented intelligent algorithms enabling the robot to retrieve cones and cubes from substations, strategically score them on the grid, and balance itself on the charge station during the autonomous period. I also strategically prioritized tasks to maximize our scoring potential in each match. Artificial Light at NightIn this project I studied the effect of diffused night luminance (an effect of light pollution) during different weather conditions and researched solutions to reduce skyglow in urban areas. To measure this night luminance, I took pictures of the night sky in various locations: urban, suburban and remote in different weather conditions: clear, partly cloudy and cloudy sky. I have used a DSLR camera for taking pictures and used the same aperture, shutter speed and ISO in all pictures so that images can be compared. Later, I used ImageJ software to calculate the luminance and CCT utilizing the pictures RGB values and using a logarithmic scale to display my data. I wanted to conduct this research because artificial skyglows potential ecological consequences are significant and biodiversity is affected adversely by it. Reduction of Water TurbidityI worked on a research based project to study the effect of natural coagulants in removing the turbidity of water samples. Turbidity causes problems in further water treatment. Moringa Oleifera, Cicer Arietinum and Dolichos Lablab are locally available natural coagulants that will be used in this project to reduce water turbidity. I worked on this project as I believe that more research needs to be done to make the water treatment process easier and environment friendly.Movie Recommendation SystemI created a movie recommender system that found similarities and patterns in review data to create accurate recommendations. This system recommended movies based on data analysis techniques which utilized Python and its libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn to implement the system. |
