To Whom it may concern,I have worked for Automated Control Technologies, LLC (ACT) for the past Street Address  years. ACT is an industry leader in the design, fabrication, and deployment of new mail handling systems for the United States Postal Service (USPS). For the past decade, the average company revenue was around $30 million, and has risen to around $50 million over the past 2 years.I started in the Shipping/Receiving department, and I managed to advance through the company ranks until I made it to the Project Management department. I then took on the challenge of starting a new Estimating department, and I served as the Systems Estimator for ACT for Street Address  years.When I started, I mentored under the Company Owner and began developing standardized project budget forms in Microsoft Excel. The budget forms utilized company labor rates for various departments, plus company rates for Overhead, G&A, Material Overhead, Subcontractor Overhead, Contingency, and Profit.I worked with the Engineering department to locate As-Built drawings from completed projects which were used to create Engineering Standards. I used the drawings to complete material takeoffs and develop standardized Bills of Materials (BOM) for various types of systems and controls.I worked closely with Purchasing to determine approved vendors and obtain current material pricing.I worked closely with the Shop Foreman to determine current fabrication labor durations for various assemblies and components.I began to establish good working relationships with various vendors, suppliers and subcontractors and was able eventually able to create and maintain an extensive library of standardized costs that I was able to use to price much larger and more complex systems.That said, I am proud of my achievements. I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to mentor under some of the best people in the Automation industry, and through hard work I have developed solid estimating abilities.Thank you for considering me for this position.
