| | Click here or scroll down to respond to this candidateI am very excited to learn about the nursing home position currently available. Before assuming my current role as the Chief Nursing Officer of Davita Paxton, I was the Assistant Director of Nursing at the Gardens of Camp Hill skilled Nursing Facility. In addition, I was the Director of Nursing at VibraLife in Mechanicsburg, PA when we first relocated to PA. I recently moved to PA from NC and was unaware, never working in long term care before the staffing shortages, high demand of work hours a week in combination with the on call hours. So, with a large family, I am looking for another opportunity. In NC, I loved and assumed the role of the Director of Life Support Education RN Coordinator at Wake Forest Baptist Health for the last 7 years. I have enjoyed working many years in nursing education and as an adjunct nursing instructor and skills lab coordinator at the community college in Frederick, MD. Clinically, Ive worked in critical care, coronary care, emergency care, and multiple administration fields. I was dedicated to the Frederick Memorial Community hospital for 12 years, gaining experience in many areas of nursing. I have assumed many roles including staff nursing (Telemetry/IMLC, ICU, and ED), charge nurse (Telemetry/IMLC), 3 years experience of ambulance transport team with FMH/Mid-Maryland to Washington Hospital Center, Washington Adventist, and Shady Grove. Also, I enjoyed a strong leadership role as a nurse director of a 36 bed neurology, renal and general medical unit. In addition, I was responsible for creating and executing with staff the education to the stroke, hospitalist, and remote telemetry programs on this unit. Also, I was employed by Frederick Community College and have been a clinical instructor (CNA/LPN and ADN programs) with instruction that includes teaching in the skills laboratory, simulation labs and clinically instructing the Fundamental, Med Surg 1, Critical Care, and LPN students for 6 years. I have also been employed in the Coronary Care Unit at Suburban Hospital where I had enjoyed working with a variety of patients with complex diagnosis including C-Port and the Stroke Research Program through the National Institute of Health before accepting my current role. I am interested in Emergency Preparedness and have attended FEMA training in Anniston, Alabama in 2011 and in 2012 becoming certified in Emergency Management in Healthcare and Hospital Emergency Response for Mass Casualty Incidents and Decontamination. In conjunction with this training, I also held a position at Carroll Hospital Center on the CISM (Crisis Incident Stress Management) team. I am assertive, ambitious, flexible, organized, dependable, and have the ability to work well under stress. I am self-motivated and detail-oriented. I have applied these characteristics in my clinical experiences to ensure competent, high-quality care for my patients. In addition, I believe my vast variety of emergency clinical experience, strong education and leadership experiences have prepared me to becoming a valuable asset in your organization. I continue to strive for higher levels of opportunities including working on my MSN degree .I am currently enrolled in the SANE program to become a certified SANE RN and have successfully completed both child/adolescent and adult national testing. My passion for all types of nursing and goal directed care will continue to allow me to practice and serve as an advanced resource, role model, and change agent who positively influences the quality and delivery of student education within the facility.Candidate's Name
