Receive coil, identify and tag each coil. Deliver to the offsite facility until needed. Excellent communication skills with truck drivers. Ensure all delivery notes are signed, dated and turned into office personnel. Approach all trucks that are sitting as they may noy know which building they need to be at, help determine which loading dock they should back into. Radio and let that are know they have a truck coming their way, radio for a material handler to be there waiting for them in case product that is stored outside prevents them from backing into docking area, it can be moved in real time so no time is wasted.Read production schedule properly to ensure units get shipped out on time, use Axapta WMS and Zetes WMS to ensure all product quantities are correct and in proper locations. print picklists and hand them out to inventory workers. Double check all product picked for correct heat stamp, type, quantity and thickness of product. Ensure each pick gets to the correct designated area. Monthly quarterly and yearly cycle counts on predetermined part numbers. print cycle count sheets. Work closely with inventory personnel to ensure the correct type, and thickness of the plates are tagged and counted correctly. Repeat this with the gaskets as well. Keep an updated log of all product stored out back and at the offsite.Know how to read and explain to new hires what each number within the 14 digit part number means. know where to locate heat stamp on each plate and be able to teach new hires how to read heat stamp. Know color codes for gasket types and teach all new hires how to read them. be very patient, not everyone works or learns at the same pace. Help as much as I can. Be supportive and upbeat, a happy work area means happy workers. Listen to all complaints and ideas, determine what changes need to be made and implementation of tried and trusted ideas. When a plate or gasket isnt in the proper location, locate the items for pickers so they dont have to slow down and search. I basically have all of inventory memorized, coworkers from all buildings contact me at home on my day off to ask where certain things are.
