Your cooperation is appreciated and will enable us to share our sanctuary with you for this sacred occasion.Conduct:The following are prohibited activities: secular dancing, use of profanity, or language inappropriate for a church facility.Smoking and the use of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances are not permitted in the building or on the grounds of the church. Any guest of the wedding who is under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will be required to leave the premises.Weapons, firearms, and other dangerous items are not permitted in the church building or on church grounds.When children are in attendance, they must be supervised by their parents or guardians at all times and are not permitted to roam freely on church property.Food and beverages are prohibited in the sanctuary.Dcor:Since our church is already furnished as a place of dignity that honors God, minimal decorations are usually needed, and additions should be carefully planned. Thus, decorations of any kind must be approved by the CVBC church office.Nails, tacks, staples, screws, pins, tape, uncovered wire, or anything that will mark or damage the woodwork, pews, and wall finishes may not be used.No rice or confetti shall be used in the building or on the church premises. Bird seed or bubbles may be used outside the building. Flower girls may drop flower petals, but an aisle runner must be used.Candles must be battery-operated only.No furniture may be moved without prior permission of the CVBC church office.The applicant is expected to leave the building reasonably clean and in the condition it was found.All items associated with the wedding must be removed immediately following the event.In the placing of flowers, palms, or other decorations, precautionary steps must be taken to ensure that the floors, carpets, walls, and furnishing(s) will not be damaged.Music:The applicant is responsible for fees relating to organists, pianists, soloists, and any other musician that they wish to play/sing for their wedding.The content of music must meet appropriate standards for usage in the church. In addition, secular love songs may be permitted as long as they are church-friendly.The use of any musical instruments owned by CVBC must receive prior approval. Please notify the CVBC church office regarding any special musical request(s).Multi-Media Needs:No contact with the audio/video system is permitted.Wedding ceremonies that require multi-media assistance must have one of the churchs sound technicians on duty, which will require additional fees.Wedding Rehearsal:There will be a total of one wedding rehearsal with an allotted time frame of two hours scheduled prior to the date of the wedding ceremony. An additional hour can be procured at a rate of $50.00 per hour.The wedding rehearsal must begin promptly.It is recommended that the entire wedding party be present for the rehearsal.Pre-Marital Counseling:All weddings at CVBC must be conducted by either the CVBC Senior Pastor, one of the ordained clergy on staff, or another ordained clergy by permission of the Pastor.The church believes that pre-marital counseling sessions are essential to providing a Christ-centered foundation for a strong marriage. Therefore, although not required, it is strongly recommended that pre-marital counseling be arranged at least three months prior to the wedding date.Parking:Parking is available using the Hobson Street and Summit Avenue parking lots.No security is provided for parking. Therefore, it is the policy of CVBC not to solemnize same-sex unions.The refundable deposit of $125 (25% of Facility Fee) will be refunded within 14 business days after the wedding. If damage occurs and exceeds $125 to repair, you will forfeit your refundable deposit and be responsible for the remaining balance.The wedding must begin at least a half hour after the scheduled time ($50.00 surcharge for every half hour late thereafter).No use of the fellowship hall or kitchen area is permitted.50% of the total fee is due at the signing of this agreement. The remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to the wedding ceremony.All fees must be made payable to Candidate's Name  via bank check, money order, or cash.Attachment 2ACKNOWLEDGEMENTI/We, the undersigned, understand and ensure conformity to CVBCs Policies and Procedures as outlined in this agreement, which have been reviewed by me/us.
