Looking for Work!Bristol, VAIm Street Address yrs old, Im currently employed at Wafflehouse-as a Waitress, working full time, 3rd shift-10hr shifts. I am looking for a full time position in more of a factory style setting such as a machine operator, etc. Im a very hard worker, and always willing to learn more. Authorized to work in the US for any employerWork ExperienceWaitress/Cashier (Lead on Nightshift)Waffle House-Waitress - Abingdon, VAOctober 2023 to PresentAfter a customer is seated, I take them their drink, & then take their order and call it out to the cook. After their food is done, Ill take them their food and add up everything they ordered on a ticket and take that back to them. When they are ready to pay, I take their payment by cash or card, have them sign if needed, and offer them a copy of their receipt if needed. I also clean and have side duties I am required to do every shift on top of waiting tables. I restock supplies, wash dishes, pots, pans, cooking stuff, etc. I make big containers of sweet tea, fill up ice bins, take the disinfecting machine apart and pull plug and drain the water out of it and clean as needed. Put plug back in and reassemble disinfecting machine. Sweep, and mop the entire restaurant. Put up dishes, coffee cups, glasses, pots, pans, utensils, etc. Take out all trash and clean restrooms as well. At the end of my shift I add up all my credit card tips and take that amount in cash out of the cash drawer, and enter the total amount and my initials into the register and sign a tip-out slip and leave that in register as well. I turn in all my tickets for my shift with the receipt of payment stapled to each ticket. I also add separate and add up any to-go orders that I might have had, each to-go order has 20% of the total of that ticket added to it, that is added because 10% is for the waitress as a tip, & the other 10% is a fee the restaurant charges for to-go supplies. Ill write the total amount of my tips for all of the to-go tickets totaled together for that shift and turn in on my managers desk. I also count the cash register and make sure its not short any cash and all the total amounts are correct for cash sales and credit card sales, and start the register back at $200 for the beginning of any shift. I turn in the cash sales profit that was made for my shift and print out the info for all the orders/ tickets from every waitress that worked that shift, and turn all of that into my manager. Sometimes Im the only one there other than the cook, because I mainly worked 3rd shift, and if it wasnt really busy on a weekday night then they would only have 1 waitress scheduled. I add up all my credit card tips and cash tips and enter that info in the system when I go to clock out at the end of my shift. Machine Operator/Material HandlerUniversal Fibers - Bristol, VAFebruary 2021 to August 2021I have over 6 months previous job experience as a Machine Operator at Universal Fibers. I ran and operated 3 lines in the (2nd plant-automotive) and also ran 2 lines in the first plant as well. I kept machines running and anytime there was a break in the line and machine was down, I would go in take it apart and fix the break and then let up stairs know by knocking on the side of machine, that I was ready to lace it up again, once the line was dropped down to me from upstairs, I would lace it all up in different directions and pull it through the machine laced correctly. I also opened and built cardboard boxes, picked up and packaged 35lbs+ rolls of yarn with however many rolls that box was to hold, according to my work order. After filling each box with the correct amount of yarn rolls. I would move the box on a pallet with a jack to scales where I would weigh box with all contents/rolls of yarn etc, and print the paperwork pertaining to that individual box and print labels and affix them to all 4 sides. After that I sealed box and made sure it was banded together tight-correctly. Then using pallet jack I would transfer box into warehouse and put into correct line that applied to me and my work orders. I worked in the 2nd plant-in automotive and also worked in the 1st plant in the 2 lines ran under Supervisor-Richard Poston.
