I was a foreman for 4 plus years and then got into welding/pipe welding. I am/was a 5G certified stick welder. I started off welding SIP for metal decking on bridges, then got into pipe welding where every weld was visually inspected from them time the pipes were prepped to be fitted and the root pass was started to your last cap bead was finished. After inspector visually passed the weld it was then measured for right width and height per spec's... If weld passes visual inspection, every weld was then x-rayed in two 12 inch random spots. ( I failed zero Inspection, but haven't welded in about a year and a half, don't know if certs are still good ) I have can and have also operated heavy equipment. Ive drove many different forklifts, front-end loaders, trackos, excavators, skid steers, super dumps ( huge dumper that hauls big loads of dirt from one spot to another) and any other machinery on a job site. I started off as a dish washer and worked my way to one of the best hardest working employees. I have been there longer than anyone besides the owners. I have only missed two days in the year and a half I have worked there, but I have been late a few times, but only a couple minutes. I also have food handlers certification. As lead line cook I am responsible for proper cooking of all food on the hot line station. Making sure all sides have enough fresh hot and ready on backup station. Watching over all hot line help and making sure they are preparing things as needed in a safe and fast paced process. I have 4+ years working with wood. That's measuring, cutting and placing. I was a rodbuster foreman for 4+ years, I know how to read blueprints and have ran a crew of 7 rodbusters for 2+ years. We did a lot of tilt panels in that time. I also worked the I95 - I10 bridges from start to finish. I have quite a few trades under my belt. I sometimes had to build the forms to put our rebar in and then help pour the concrete and then finish the concrete as specified in blueprints... 20+ year rodbuster, 5 year certified welder, 5 year food handler and certified for 3 I've also done 4 to 5 year residential home repairs. Inside and out, from pressure washing and painting inside and outside of a house, to hanging drywall and mud and taping, to final touch ups. I know some electrical work, some plumbing work, have done a lot of carpet installation, tile cutting, and wood floors... Measuring, cutting, and placing of any type of flooring... I can run a crew, or just work in a crew. I work well with others, and love to learn new things. Highly motivated, safety orientated, goal accomplishing, ready to work. If I don't know how to do something, I will figure out how, and complete the task to the best of my ability. I'm not afraid to ask questions, when needed. I do like to try and figure things out myself or within my crew before having to seek more help. |
