Work experience: having come to USA with permanent residency (Green Card) towards the end of 2022, I have
completed a three- month contract (end of January to end of April 2023) as a Staff Accountant at Physician Partners
of America in Tampa Florida. (a reference is available.). I was handling their weekly bank deposits and the revision
of their petty cash and the change fund drawer reconciliation process. Thereafter, I worked at Stone Warehouse
of Tampa as an Accounting Specialist for five weeks when two of their officers were on leave. I handled their A/P.
A/R and uploading of checks on a daily basis. I have worked at Theochem Laboratories INC of Tampa Florida too as
an Accountant, again for five weeks checking their bank reconciliation for 2021-2022. More recently I handled an
Accounting assignment on Payables for Health and Psychiatry in Oldsmar.
Accountant- from April 2012 to February 2022 and April 2022 to September 2022 I was operating on a freelance
basis handling accounts of various business entities and the final accounts prepared by me were checked and
certified by a Chartered Accountant of the choice of the particular entity.
Duties handling prime entry books of Accounts, entering financial data to the ledger accounts, balancing them
off, correcting errors, making adjustments, extracting Trial Balance and the preparation of Final Accounts, handling
monthly pay roll, preparation of tax returns for value added tax, audit of source documents.
-Carrying out tests of control designed to determine the effectiveness of internal controls (related to the audit of
financial statements) in the following systems- Revenue, Purchasing, Payment, Payroll, Inventory, Fixed Assets,
Liabilities and Capital.
-Carrying out various procedures involved in the Audit of financial statements such as the preparation of age
analysis of debtors, preparation of bank and supplier reconciliation statements, calling for confirmation of debtor
balances, attend stock takes for monitoring and carrying out test counts etc.
Accountant: Qatar Building Engineering Company, Doha Qatar.( October 2011 to February 2012 )
Duties: Handling construction contract accounts, Branch accounts, preparation of Journal Vouchers, Journal entries,
bank and supplier reconciliation statements, writing cheques, checking stock records, checking payment vouchers
and the drafting of official letters.
Accountant: Mohebi Logistics LLC Dubai United Arab Emirates: (Aug. 2008 to July 2009)

Duties: Handling receivables and payables. Preparation of bank and supplier reconciliation statements, Journal
entries, Journal vouchers and the petty cash account. Handling the Fixed Assets register.
Bookkeeper: Colombo Municipal Council having one of the largest accounting systems in Sri Lanka with a budgeted
annual income of over 100 million US $ and a work force of over 12000. (from Oct. 1993 to May 2005)
Duties: Preparation of annual departmental budget estimates, Statistical reports for the Chief accountant, the
Municipal Treasurer and the Auditors.
Maintenance of Vote Ledgers, the Voucher Register and the Other Payments Register.
Preparation of Bank reconciliation statements, Vote transfer applications, Journal entries and Control Accounts for
staff loans.
Preparation of Income and Expenditure account, Balance sheet and the Annual budget of a recreation center.
Handling staff loans in a department with a workforce of over 450.
Processing of staff loan applications and the preparation of payment vouchers.
