It has less gastro-intestinal complications. Aceclofenac is having rapid absorption and shorter half-life (3 to 4 hrs.) and hence necessitate for modified release formulation.The purpose of study was to develop and optimize Gastric Floating Drug Delivery System (GFDDS) containing aceclofenac as a model drug by using various proportion of polymer such as HPMC. This was employed to enhance the bioavailability and therapeutic efficiency of the drug.Optimization of formulation was done by studying effect of drug to polymer ratio on drug release. Five formulations were released. The tablet was evaluated for its hardness friability and other in-vitro evaluation tests. All parameters compiled with IP limits.Industrial TrainingUndergone industrial training at NEULAND LABORATORIES LIMITED from 25-12-2012 to 24-01-2013. During this training period I interacted with the department Preclinical and acquired relevant basic knowledge.The Preclinical Study is to test a drug, a procedure, or another medical treatment in animals. The aim of preclinical study is to collect the data in support of the safety of the new treatment.
