Reported To: Barbara Perez (HFC/FTTH Design Supervisor Mobile: 787-349-5944 Department: Access Network Planning Design & Construction Design Summary of Goals, Qualifications and skills: Performing this Job position as Access Coaxial/Fiber Optics Designer, a daily non- routine process is developing a FTTH/FHC MAP Project with a substantial variety and complex works applying the best practice company, client, project design, and drafting standards. The keymap presented for Design or modify existing HFC and/or fiber FTTH will be drawing or modifying layers, blocks, lines type (width, weight, scale, color) and annotations including internal properties (symbols, rotation, visual 3D or transparency) executed with AutoCAD 2022 on MDU projects or ArGIS Pro 3.0.3 in Aereal field. The main idea of the position will start verifying a checklist documentation and a Keymap submitted from the walkout Department. This Department has to present a pre- walkout inspection on the field to offer actual conditions of the existing plant. In my position, I will revise the preset map (QC revision) with the check list seeing any incomplete or incorrect information on the pre-design layouts presented in PDF. The QC revision will inform redlines (if any) on every detail considered out of the standard. In some cases, redlines will include wrong symbology or width lines in conflict with the layout legend, or miscalculation on the inventory on material to be proposed or infrastructural scale (NTS) and /or missed or fail to propose ducts, trench on the the Base map area if theres no poles or existing ducts. The QC will also include redline on miscalculations presented on excel table. (i.e., calculation on drop or duct proposed) If the checklist is ready, and after QC passed, the next step is considered if the information in model, riser diagrams and reference photos included in the layout design if the design is a MDU. In which case will be completed with AutoCAD and the information of lines, layers, symbols and blocks to design, will include splice table(Excel) and a Bill of material. (BOM) If the design of FTTH or FHC is developed on aerial field and /or combined UG, (i.e., with poles, strand or over lash on coaxial) the design will be developed in ArcGIS, but it needs to add more features on a base map, identifying the tie point (trunk and distance from OSP/OLT) and getting more individual sources, collect GEO data (i.e., catalog view symbology or expression from other departments on the ArcGIS Portal Group content) to produce and export a GIS data (.gdb) of this project aisled from the ArcGIS Server. The ArcGIS Online/Portal and a wide variety of pane sources and cloud-based tools will be necessary to perform visualizations, (query layers, styles, annotations) and then export the features to your local drive to start the design including layouts with map frame, internal documentation, (i.e., attribute table) and performing extraction to the splice table/ BOM.
