Clean/Sanitize Hooded Pouring Station with the 3 Step Cleaning Process. Make sure all color coded Accn Stations have a new Lab Hand Off Log Sheets for that day. Sign off on log sheet when Specimens are given to you. count Spec to make sure the count is correct and Priority or No Priority. Put inside the hood and pour as instructed. Check each Specimen Patient/Client name to see if it matches and is correct. If find any discrepancies or need to QC anything bring to Supervisor's attention. Hand off finished rack of Specimens to Lab to Aliquot. Repeat till finish all Specimens.LIGHT ACCESSIONING TECH: Open all Specimen courier boxes received. Save the label/Manifest off each one and put qty,date, Covid 19 or whatever each one is and your initials on ea label. Accession according to our standards and making sure each client has their correct billing codes entered. Correct location. Correct physician and diagnostic and test codes. Correct information on each patient including correct insurance codes. Arrange left to right in standard Spec rack. If any discrepancies or No Req, bring to supervisors attention. These have to be TNP'd. Sign off on Log sheet. Give to Pour Tech in your color code area.INTERN LAB TECH: Preforming sml miscl lab test while being trained under the supervision of main lab supervisor. Pull positive specimens. Arrange patient specimens in special refrigerator by date,client name, patient name, DOB,priority, test needed or already preformed in our lab numeric system and other things in alphabetical order. Do daily log checks of all refrigerators to make sure is correct temp and working properly. When test are completed, per lab supervisor's direction.
