Has been an owner and CEO of printing companies for over three decades, and more recently has served as the President and CEO of the Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG), and currently is a part time associate with the merger/acquisition consulting firm, New Direction Partners, LLC, which focuses on the graphic arts industry.From Street Address to 1972, he was employed by the Coca-Cola Company in the Trade Research Department. In 1972, he joined the family-owned newspaper, The Walton Tribune, which became a publication printing company, Walton Press, Inc., with the sale of the newspaper in 1976. He was owner and CEO of Walton Press from 1980 until its sale in 1997, building the highly profitable company from inception with over 100 employees. He founded another commercial printing operation after the sale of Walton Press, Walton Media, in 1998 until its sale in 2010. Throughout his role with the graphic communication companies he owned, he developed business plans as well as marketing and creative strategies.He has served the graphic arts industry as chairman of the board of Printing Industry Association of Georgia (PIAG) and the national association, Printing Industries of America (PIA), and he has served on the boards of the Graphic Arts Show Company and the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation. In his local community, he served as a Street Address -year member of the board of directors of The National Bank of Walton County and past chairman; past president of the Walton County Chamber of Commerce; past chairman of the Monroe Water, Light & Gas Commission; 37-year member and past president of the Monroe Rotary Club; past member of the board of advisors of the Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia.He currently serves as a trustee and vice chairman of the Walton County Foundation, Inc.; current board member, trustee and past president of the Northeast Georgia Council, Boy Scouts of America; member of the City of Monroe Zoning and Planning Commission.
