Utilizing 5 different stakeholder teams across North America Amazon Operations, we were able to ascertain a true net benefit for the hibernation of this asset in the Las Vegas node. The financial impact of this decision is slated to be $1.2 million per month and has now expanded with 9 future projects currently in the late stages of implementation. Manual Contingency design and Implementation, Amazon PEAK 2021/2022: Due to construction constraints 8 robotics sites in both 2021/2022 had TCOs (release of the equipment) pushed back due to the lack of available materials for the robotics operations. As the owner of these launches and subsequently the owner of meeting the sites capacity, I designed a manual contingency plan utilizing existing assets as well as available space. The creation and implementation of these designs saved Amazon $22.4 million per site for PEAK based off the capacity figures. ECCF (Emerging Countries Customer Fulfillment) Boot Camp and Training: Creation of curriculum specific to out of the country launches. Created the now standard training and onboarding structure currently used by the ECCF network in all out of country launches. This includes all training material for pertinent machinery, instructor materials, student materials, as well as creation of safety, operational leadership, workforce staffing, and capacity planning levers to assist these new launches. Prior to creation, ECCF launch attrition was at 64%, currently at 27% after program implementation. Launch Operations Execution team: Built the Launch Operations Executions (LOE) team to provide exempt leaders with standardized training in a 2 week in person setting, as well as developing the process for implementing the training with new launches. This included building an 8-week waterfall schedule, starting with leader onboarding, and finishing with the launch date. This program resulted in the successful launch of over 60 sites in 2 years and the training of over 1,000 exempt leaders.
