I also created automated processes for evaluating SOX Business and IT Controls and lead the Annual review of all Business and IT Risks and Controls. I coordinated the annual Control Panel System review of Risks, Business Functions, and Controls with our Process Owners and Technical Experts, which included Financial and Sensitive IT / Basis access. I also lead the effort for the development and maintenance of the Northrop Grumman business rules which minimized risks by continuous SOD monitoring via the GRC tool Control Panel and mitigated risks working with the ERP Security Team. Additional accomplishments include the coordination of and resolution of issues from External, Internal and DCAA Audits, reviewing and approving System Access Requests via our GRC tool, Control Panel.I received the Presidents Award in 2018 for outstanding performance by creating automated and manual processes to eliminate 17 SOX deficiencies.I was a Project Lead in developing System Requirements and the evaluation and selection of a new Risks and Controls, GRC, tool. Northrop Grumman obtained huge efficiency gains in monitoring risks and controls and reliance on the controls by External Auditors.I modified and added additional system access rules to the Northrop Grumman, GRC rulebook, to create a gold standard rulebook according to 2 of the 4 big accounting firms that yielded in no audit issues related to employee system access. This was a huge accomplishment for Northrop Grumman.I also lead, mentored, and trained junior members of the compliance team to achieve a level of excellence and reliability in the compliance team by Executive Management and External and Internal Audit Teams.Northrop Grumman Financial Systems Specialist (Jan. 2000 -April 2012)I provided an enterprise solution approach to achieve system integrity and improvements for the Labor Accounting and Timekeeping functions of Business Management. I also lead a team to convert the legacy Timekeeping and Accounting Systems to SAP for Labor Accounting and CATS for Timekeeping, for above shop floor personnel and a hybrid Time Collection system for shop floor time and labor recording. I also hosted bi-weekly user group meetings for these areas and coordinated all system changes and enhancements to these systems.I lead the Timekeeping and Labor Team for 6 separate Sector System implementations plus Corporate, converting each sector of approximately 20,000 employees for each Sector to SAP, with all deliverables including configuration, MOCK testing, System Integration Testing (SIT) and employee training. Each Conversion was completed successfully and within budget and to schedule.I was also a lead in helping convert the Company to the Redwood Job Scheduling System. This automation was a huge efficiency gain in terms of reduced headcount and streamlined the job scheduling process for Northrop Grumman.Northrop Grumman Manager, Sector Shared Services Transition and Team Lead for Labor, Timekeeping and Payroll Integration (Jan. 1999 December 2000)I was part of a team who created and stood up the Enterprise Solutions Sector. I personally created the positions and roles and responsibilities for the SAP implementation of Labor, Timekeeping, and Payroll Integration for the newly forming Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG) Sector. This included developing and testing related to these system interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and reports and the configuration of SAP. It also included creating documentation and training the end users.As a Project Team Lead, I completed project deliverables, lead the teams testing activities and provided schedule status and issue resolution to the overall Project Management Team. Additionally, I supported the Director and Sector Shared Services Transition and Accounting Policy Council to develop a schedule for implementing the Shared Services Organization and to develop a high-level organization structure.I also developed / created common processes related to Timekeeping and Labor for all Sectors that we were converting to SAP. These common practices allowed Northrop Grumman efficiency gains by eliminating headcount.Northrop Grumman Cost Accounting Manager - (Jan. 1997 December 1998)I managed and lead all Cost Accounting functions to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and procedures, and government regulations. I was responsible for reviewing and approving journal entries, performing account analysis, reconciliations and oversight of labor and overhead cost collection and distribution within work-in-process accounting. I also managed a staff of 7 employees and performed their annual performance assessments.Northrop Grumman Lead Senior Auditor - (Jan. 1994 December 1996)I was a lead auditor for Northrop Grumman engaged in all areas of auditing to include audit planning and performing Operational, Compliance, Financial and IT System Audits with primary emphasis on IT System Audits.I provided the audit staff with computer assisted audit techniques (ACL), software support, and IT training.
