I have done residential and commercial carpentry experience with rehabilitation work of homes this includes installing new roofs, framing new decks, sheeting installation of shingles, roof base sheet, flashing, ridge vents insulation. Additionally, I developed, published and ensured employee compliance with Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) for the all activities that were carried out in my supervisory career. Responsibilities continually include the management of ordering supplies and materials for usage by my subordinates. This activity was heavily monitor because the supervisor had to constantly monitor cost to safe the organization monies.Worked as a carpenter contractor in which my duties included planning and laying out work in accordance with drawing sketched and blueprints putting in doors, walls and repairing of ceiling tile, new flooring wood, VCV title and installation of new trim work on windows. I was also responsible for light switches, fuses, circuit breakers, which included replacing lights. I replaced locks on doors extensively. I also have expensive experience with repairing leaky faucets, washers and stems. This also included installation of new toilets and repair. I installed new water lines, using PVPC, copper and galvanized piping. I cleaned drains by snaking the line to open them. Other duties I performed were a variety of general repair and maintenance that include installation of drywall that included repairing, carpenter work, title laying, painting and repair electrical work. Acted as a troubleshooter which included switch and replacement and other basic electrical repair. I have worked extensively as a brick layer and stone layer instructor with Potomac Job Corp Center educating students on the basics of tools and mortar mixing with brick and stones. I also educated the students on spreading mortar for laying brick and block head joints and bed joints. Additionally, I educated the students on constructing stretcher, header, sailor, solider and rowlocks courses. Students were instructed to do a dry layout for brick and block walls using 4, 8, and 12 inch blocks. They were also instructed to use wall tied along with mental wire and joint reinforcements. They were consistently instructed to keep the walls plum and leveled at all times. All students were instructed to use corner holes and line blocks. Additionally, instructed the students on estimating and blueprint reading. Worked as a landscaping/gardener designing landscapes. I worked with architects to design landscapes for gardens which included fountains, gazebos, paths, ponds and footbridges to enhance the overall garden design. My work also included preparing, planting areas and gardens. This work included the mixing of soils and other materials in preparing flower beds. Planted and transplanted plants, buds, flowers, scrubs and trees. This work also included cutting and maintaining lawns including application of fertilizer.I was also responsible for custodial maintenance of the whole facility which included cleaning of the toilet facilities, trash receptacles, vacuuming of floors, moving furniture when needed, cleaning windows and blinds. All of this included knowledge of operating heavy duty power equipment.
