HUD was a big portion of the budget since we were one of the first community based agencies that sub- contracted with Northampton County to provide housing case management.Provided Federal Summer Lunch program for all Eastons Agencies that had a summerlunch program. Maintaining all FDA requirements and reportingUtilized a tool in collaboration with the ALERT Partnership, called Asset Mapping, which involved door to door questionnaires, thus informing and involving residents of the Southside of Easton, including Delaware Terrace. The result being,increase in Block watch and the formation of the Southside Stakeholders group, still in existence.Supervised an additional site office called :Dutchtown Gallows Hill, which was funded through the Community Development Block Grant of the City of Easton.This office provided case management services to over 50 families/individuals whose population consists of dually diagnosed individuals. Volunteers were an integral part of the day to day function of this office. A Representative Payee system I created, with assistance fromthe accountant allowed approximately 50 or more households to learn through case management services, how to maintain daily living.This was all on a database to show growth in the household which allowed me to report to the funder the necessary outcomes whether units of service or an increase in self- sufficiency.EANC subcontracted with Northampton County to provide their entire Homeless Assistance Program, which had 3 components. Bridge Housing (Transitional Homeless Housing for families) Rental Assistance and Housing Case Management services. I instituted a program for the Transitional Housing portion (shelter) using local faith-based organizations and service clubs for volunteers to adopt each family to act as role models and a support system. This mentoring or family adoption  greatly increased the success rate of the family sustaining itself, using case worker follow up and the support system that was developed for each individual family.All of EANCs records were on a database called Clients to Success, which recorded the clients growth towards self-sufficiency using a scoring system. This program was adopted by the United Way for use by all of the agencies in the Social Service Panel. EANC was commissioned to train those 10 agencies in the Lehigh Valley on this system. The program collected all necessary CDBG data and had the capacity to generate reports on any time frame.EANC partnered with the Easton School District, Easton Hospital, and the Youth Advocate program to establish a series of programs funded by on Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency for 3 years. This was the largest award to go to a single non-profit in Northampton County. The results of which are ongoing as we (a team of community leaders) found funding sources to keep the program alive after state funding started to diminish.A Family Center was created in Cheston Elementary School, led by the efforts of EANC and all Eastons non-profits. A volunteer community board was created and the project was funded by the United Way. The Family Center Board volunteers drove all services. The school has benefited greatly from this initiative. This same process was created in the Slate Belt region. Since then numerous models have been recreated at most Bethlehem Elementary Schools and in the Allentown School District.A mental health clinic run by the Youth Advocate program was located on the top floor of EANCs south side location, where before parents and children had to travel to Bethlehem for services. EANC also partnered with the Allentown Diocese, to provide free office space to Catholic Charities to bring all of their programming to consumers in Easton, where before families had to travel to Allentown to receive service.A home visitation program run by nurses from Easton Hospital which provided pre-natal and post-natal instruction was used as a model for other programming in the state. Dr. Daria Starosta and I had the pleasure of presenting our results in Harrisburg. We also initiated an immunization clinic in all of Eastons summer programs that served as a model for use in an effort that was done in the school district. All of the immunization team was done by volunteer nurses recruited by the Doctor and myself. The grant that provided all of these services was for $395,000.During my tenure as ED, through new funding and increases from the funders satisfied with the service delivery and new collaborations EANCs budget increased from $425,000 in 1996 to 2002 fiscal years budget of$712,000. 93% of which was in the form of direct service.CONSULTANT FOR NON-PROFITS May 2002- ongoingGrant writing, focus groups, creation of surveys, outcome development, and development of Volunteer programs. Provide assistance for small non-profits to supplement staff, computer training of staff and volunteers. Consultation with Agency Board of Directors and Executives and staff on mission development, training in assistance locating funding sources to fulfill mission/program.
