During my 11 years with the company until they were sold and closed the operation on Long Island. When I was hired they needed to improve production and quality. The other major problem was that imports of sweaters from other countries was making it very hard to compete. First I worked with our Supervisors in the different departments to see if we could increase production while keeping quality the same.With my constant supervision in the major production areas, production did increase. With my prior contacts, I increased orders for sweaters. I worked closely with the sales department and informed my employer that by outside contracting with smaller businesses in the area we would be able to increase our production. Unfortunately the sweater manufacturing industry died in our country especially in the New York metropolitan area.I was the last employee to be let go after all other employees were laid off. I started working part-time while in my Sophomore year in college for Solomon Kamen. Upon graduation he hired me full time as a Senior Accountant. While working at Margolin, Weiner & Evans, CPAs where I was on the Partner Track, my family business which my parents and siblings needed me to take over to keep them in business.My various positions, careers and education has given me excellent experiences so that I can fit into almost every situation in the corporate world.
