ing the two individual teams into one, Production Support Engineering Team.
Wrote wiki documentation for trouble shooting, software operations/deployments and problem solving

two to eight X Displays.
Installed and configured CFEngine Agents on servers in Computer Room and in Control Room, to con-

Used Bastille to protect Control Room Servers, yet still allowed access to people in remote locations

VIANT, Linux Engineer
Worked on an eight-week project to prepare company for an upcoming audit. Installed and configured
CFEngine, servers and Agents on 60+ Linux Servers split into DataBase Servers and Application Servers,
with different requirements on each. Discovered Network Administrator had created a Syslog Server. De-
ployed new syslog.conf to all servers overnight via CFEngine. All servers were sending log files to the Sys-
log server the following morning. Installed Logwatch on Syslog Server to review all server logs for errors
specified in audit requirements. Set-up Anomaly Detection in CFEngine and as an added bonus, finished
the project in six weeks.
KEMPER/NATLSCO, Linux Resource Administrator
Ran the second shift Computer Operations for National Loss Control Services. Wrote monitoring software
to send alert pages for issues during off hours and weekends. Wrote scripts to fix common issues, improv-
ing Loss Run performance significantly. Wrote menus for Saturday and Sunday processing, virtually
eliminating mistakes and decreasing time required to complete weekend processing earning the nickname
Mr. Scripts. Single handedly managed dozens of Linux System, with CPU power and storage capacity
exceeding that of the mainframe.
MOTOROLA SYSTEMS, Implementation Technician
Installed AT&T UNIX computers, printers and monitors at company sites, installed software and spare
parts inventory. Trained coordinators, technicians and manager. Modified installation procedures for AT&T
UNIX servers by having software installed, configured and checked out in offices, then shipped to final
location for plug and play operation.

Served aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) performing Combat Data Systems maintenance and repair.
