Projects
Performed FreeBSD 8.1 Servers upgrade of 40 physical servers into VMware 4 NEC Servers with
PNC/FIS Network engineers as group project design. Rack the 4 Servers in the server cabinets.
Install FreeBSD8.1 on the new servers and configure the network.
Migrated all 40 servers freeBSD operating system into the 4 NEC Servers as Vmware jailed
servers with the help of FIS/PNC network engineers.
Installed new 4 NEC Raids in the server cabinet, configured and partitioned 24TB disk aray
using freeBSD ZFS pool file system on each raid. Connected the 4 Raids management port to
cisco switch configured the IP address for each raid. Installed NEC Management software to
monitor the raids remotely.
Install new KVM switches in the server cabinets and connect them to cisco switch. Setup and
configured the network for each to connect to the KVM switch so to monitor the servers remotely.
Installed and configured new NEC server with Unix FreeBSD 8.1 64bit to network connect to new
Opex Falcon scanner machine per PNC network support specifications.
