ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Theater Reservation System:
Summary: An Online movie reservation system is proposed to build a user friendly ticket booking system
where multiple users can book ticket and access information at the same time. The system also helps the
management of theater to keep track of customers and events. The proposed theater reservation system allows
the user to check the events and performances information and book a ticket. The proposed system shall be
made accessible to users via a web interface.
Java Programming language was used to build the system. Data abstraction and runtime polymorphism
was implemented to design and deploy the application.
Worked extensively on spring IOC and spring MVC to catch up to the needs of the application and
create model and view.
HTML was used to develop the content of the web pages along with JavaScript to achieve client side
functionality.
Hibernate Object Relational Mapping tool was used to connect to the data bases with the implementation
of POJO classes, creating database tables, mapping configuration files and building the application.
Had good experience with tomcat web server, deployed the application on the server to produce reliable
output.
Worked in an incremental approach and used spiral model to build the system updating requirements in
regular cycles.
