EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
Mr. Uhden is a civil engineer with over 30 years of experience providing engineering services to clients in both the
public and private sectors. He has served as both a Project Engineer/Manager and CAD Manager, providing site/civil
engineering services, utility infrastructure design, floodplain analysis, stormwater management design, storm
drainage design, culvert design, road design and grading, erosion and sediment control, the design of sanitary sewers
as well as construction cost estimates and construction specifications. Mr. Uhden has been responsible for numerous
residential development projects of up to 300 units each and numerous commercial development projects of up to
1,100,000 square feet each, while working closely with the developer, primarily National Realty & Development
Corporation, to obtain all approvals and permits and maximizing value. As a project manager, he coordinated civil
design amongst a multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural staff for varied federal projects. As a CAD Manager and
AutoLisp (VisualLisp) programmer, he developed interoperability between GIS coverages and AutoCAD, primarily

Mr. Uhden served as the primary civil designer and project manager on a variety of projects for the Veterans
Administration, Air National Guard, Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Port Authority of New York New Jersey, NJ Transit, NJ
Turnpike Authority, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Projects included storm sewer rehabilitation, road
reconstruction and widening, steam distribution systems in concrete trenches and steel bridges, sanitary sewerage

Air National Guard Base, Newburgh, NY - Project Engineer for providing preliminary through final design to
construct concrete pads to support the installation of pre-fabricated munitions storage containers to store C-17
defensive systems flares for PAA C-17 aircrafts. The design included providing utility connection and lightning
protection and electrical grounding, additional access pavement and security fencing, and supplemental
security lighting.
Repair/Replace Aircraft Parking Apron and Shoulders for the 177th FW, New Jersey Air National Guard,
Atlantic City IAP, Egg Harbor, NJ - Project Engineer for the analysis and evaluation of the existing
pavements at aircraft parking aprons and taxiways to hangars used by the New Jersey Air National Guards
177th Fighter Wing at the Atlantic City International Airport. Nearly 25 acres of various pavement types were
evaluated and recommendations were prepared for the repair of the various pavement distress types for three
separate aprons: the Main Apron, the Hush House Apron, and the Alert Apron. Work included preparing
construction bid documents detailing full depth Portland cement concrete apron pavement reconstruction,
partial depth and full depth PCC apron concrete pavement repairs, joint replacement, asphalt inlays and
overlays, full depth asphalt taxiway reconstruction, and surface and subsurface drainage to correct the
identified pavement deficiencies. Construction period services yielded approximately $300,000 in construction
cost savings for the government.
Add/Alter Base Engineering Complex, Building 207, New York Air National Guard, 105th Airlift Wing at
Stewart Air National Guard Base, Newburgh, NY - Project Engineer in charge of supervising the civil design
for the expansion of an existing BCE Complex. The design included grading and drainage around expansion

Repair C-5 Aircraft Parking Apron, New York Air National Guard, 105th Airwing at Stewart Air National
Guard Base, Newburgh, NY - Project Engineer for the analysis, evaluation, report preparation, and
construction documents to rehabilitate the existing parking apron serving C-5 aircraft at Stewart International
Airport. The rehabilitation focused on the repair of individual isolated slabs to correct three types of distress:
joint sealant failures, surface spalling at the joints, and full depth slab cracking. The report prepared included
investigation of new distresses, recommended corrective actions, and overall cost of repairs.
Fuel Containment Dike Inspection and Rehabilitation, (Design/Build) New York Air National Guard,
105th Airlift Wing at Stewart Air National Guard Base, Newburgh, NY - Project Engineer responsible for
preparing a report with structural integrity and visual inspections and construction documents to improve the
reinforced concrete containment dikes including jet fuel resistant flexible membrane liner surrounding two
25,000 BBL aboveground storage tanks at the base to meet the requirements of the NYDEC.
Boeing Aviation Fueling Facility, (Design/Build), Charleston International Airport, North Charleston, SC
- Project Engineer for the design, construction support, and value engineering services for site development for
the new 342,000 square foot production facility at the Charleston International Airport to be used for fabrication
and final assembly for Boeings 787 Dreamliner aircraft, including jet fuel storage and dispensing.
Replace Steam Lines Part D, VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, Castle Point Campus, Castle
Point, NY - Project Manager/Engineer in charge of the design to replace/repair the existing steam distribution
system including verification of upgraded lines and laterals highlighting deficient lines. Work included
reconstructing and widening existing paved roadways; constructing a storm drainage system to serve the area
of the road reconstruction; and constructing an interim roadway from the entrance gate for vehicular and fire
access.
Grading and Drainage Improvements and Upgrade Parking Areas, US Navy, Naval Operational Support
Center, Fort Dix, NJ - Project Engineer responsible for developing design documents for extensive grading
and drainage system improvements required to improve drainage and to eliminate water intrusion into
basements for two administrative office buildings. Work included replacement of all roof storm drainage
systems, improvements/additions/relocation of catch basins, extensive re-grading of surrounding areas,

Industrial Waste Line Relocation, New York Air National Guard, 105th AW at Stewart Air National Guard
Base, Newburgh, NY - Project Engineer for the design to relocate mile of industrial waste line emanating
from aircraft hangars to retention ponds. Provided Type A, B, and C services to separate the industrial
wastewater system and the stormwater system as a pollution prevention measure. The project included
providing an environmentally acceptable industrial waste drainage system to support maintenance activities for
the Guards assigned PAA C-5 aircraft.
Construct Refueler Parking Area (Design/Build), US Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District POL
Center of Expertise, Dugway Proving Ground, UT - Design and construction assistance for the construction
of a spill containment system for an existing tank truck fuel stand. Work included designing minor piping
modifications, new concrete pavement and curbing, a basin drainage system and routing and resealing joints
and cracks in existing pavement. Work also included new security fencing and entry and exit gate

Medical Center, Castle Point Campus, Castle Point, NY - Project Manager/Project Engineer responsible for
preliminary study and providing design and construction period services for the replacement and repairs of
existing steam distribution system. Work involved the verification of upgraded lines, laterals, and highlighting
deficient lines and concerns of VA management. The analysis of line pressures, structural integrity and
evaluation of new lines, pressure reducing stations and condensate return pumps were also performed.

construction support services to construct a parking area for refueling military vehicles, including slope
stabilization, drainage facilities and spill containment basin.
Medical Main Entrance - Resurface/Repair Roadways, Department of Veterans Affairs, Hudson Valley
Health Care System, VA Medical Center, Montrose, NY - Project Engineer responsible for the design and
construction administration services to resurface and repair the roadways for the entire Veterans Administration

investigations to expand the existing locomotive shop by approximately 13,300 square feet. The project
included upgrading the existing shop wayside power and installing a new power substation. The site/civil
improvements included site demolition and excavation, dewatering, utilities relocation, wastewater design,
storm drainage, soil erosion, environmental permitting, and site design including paving, walkways, curbs, and
aprons.
New Wheel True Facility, NJ Transit, NJ Transit Hoboken Yard, Hoboken, NJ - Project Engineer for
providing construction administration services for the construction of a new wheel true facility consisting of a
building approximately 220 feet long to maintain NJ Transit fleet in a state of good repair and to keep these
vehicles in service. Design included providing site demolition, site utilities, roadways and passageways, and
site grading and drainage for the reconfiguration of existing storage tracks around the new structure; demolition
of the existing facility; and incorporation of a replacement welfare facility for the Yard employees.
Hoboken Ferry Terminal Expansion Phase III, NJ Transit, Hoboken Ferry Terminal, Hoboken, NJ -
Project Engineer in charge of providing civil engineering design for the expansion of the Hoboken Ferry
